The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena remake coming to Xbox 360 and PS3
The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is the Xbox & PC game prequel to the Vin Diesel movie The Chronicles of Riddick: Pitch Black. Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios released the FPS action game mid-2004 and later that year announced a sequel, but never followed up on it and has since been busy making The Darkness, until now that is.
Original developer Starbreeze is said to be at the helm of the remake, with the Riddick game itself going by the title The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena. For Xbox 360 and PS3, the new game will feature an extended single-player campaign, brand-new online multiplayer and a developer’s commentary mode, quotes Prog.
Publisher Vivendi Games confirmed an announcement is coming soon. Till then, here’s the original’s cool trailer:
