Go! Cam PSP camera
Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed the PSP camera add-on with built-in microphone and editing software is now called “Go! Cam” and will be released in Europe and Australia on May 16, 2007. The price is set at €49.99 / £34.99. It easily plugs into the PSP’s USB connector.

The Go! Cam can:
* take still pictures;
* take video clips;
* change vertical direction by 180°;
* edit photos/film with sound/graphical effects via the editing suite.

“Go!Cam is fantastic news for all those PSP owners looking for something new, fun and creative. With Summer around the corner and the ability to turn your PSP into a mini camcorder and capture all the best moments in your life, this is yet another reason to get a PSP and to take advantage of truly portable entertainment,” said Stephane Hareau, PSP marketing manager.

It’s surprising there’s no portable mini-games version of EyeToy Play to go with it, most webcams even come with a free game or two. But that’s coming from a gamer-perspective, Sony probably looks at this from a multimedia viewpoint. — More pics at Eurogamer

    Sorry guys, no US price or release date has been announced yet by Sony. So far there are also zero games announced for the camera, so it’s just to take pictures.

    It’s only been released in Japan and will be coming to Europe and Australia on May 16th as mentioned above.
