One of these things is not like the others…

Oh, and I guess it’s a new copy of Excite Truck inside the box. No doubt you’ll agree this artistic masterpiece is the best Wii cover EVER!
— Via Digg, thanks to Hiro0015 for the pic!
It’s just a decoy box. Gamestop has lots of extra empty cases to do with as they please (as shown above). The actual unopened case is kept behind the counter. Same goes for the Excite Truck box with the real artwork right next to it.
One copy of excite truck $49.99,
Special edition excite truck with unique cover $49.99
Not giving credit to the guy (hiro) from gonintendo that posted this thing, priceless.
There are some things you can’t steal, for everything else there’s uncrediting the original author!
Come on guys >=/
To Kiro0015 and Creo: Read the article, we always give credit to the source and this time it was Digg and not Gonintendo (which we enjoy a lot like Kotaku).
Of course if either of you took the picture I’d like to put your name in the article and link to your site as the original source, so go ahead and respond here.
I took the picture and submitted it to Gonintendo… http://gonintendo.com/?p=17040
There’s the original link
Source = Hiro0015
Thanks
Ok cool, I just fixed the credits Hiro0015 and I’m going to watch the latest Heroes ep in an hour
I work at a Gamestop, and we have to do this because people always steal our empty boxes. The game is new, because it hasn’t been played. At the counter if you mention the case, ask for a 10% discount for being shopworn, we can do that and I do it all the time.
That makes sense WII4LIFE, do you get paid extra at Gamestop for such “graphics designer” antics? You should hehe
lol, Thank you supadupagama
Actually, in response to comment 1, the actual artwork case of Excite Truck, i.e. the one next to that Picaso Excite Truck, is just a gutted copy of an open Excite Truck, it is not extra. This means that in the unlikely event the every Excite Truck sells, exluding the Picaso, you will be forced the “new” already box of excite truck. I personally think that the Picaso Excite Truck is the result of having one of the original cases stolen, so the employees had to represent all their stock, so this means there is a “new” copy of Excite Truck with likely no original box or artwork. Gamestop pwns us all again.
