Call of Duty 5 or 6: Future Warfare in development?

After Activision’s Call of Duty series will make the jump from WWII scenarios to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in late 2007, you have to wonder what lies ahead. Call of Duty 5: Future Warfare should be the next logical step in the FPS series!

From stopping the Nazis from taking over in World War II, to tackling terrorists around the globe in the 21st century, to fighting futuristic human factions on a barren planet Earth or alien interplanetary battles in the 22nd century?!

It’s only a rumor at this point, but chances of Infinity Ward following the track of DICE’s Battlefield franchise are very high. By the time this comes out the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 should have a big enough userbase to get a version of the game outside of the PC release. — Via GameSpot

June 16th 2008 UPDATE: Call of Duty 5: World at War was confirmed as the official title of the next COD game in WWII. Hopefully Call of Duty 6 will be Future Warfare.

i reakon bring back ww1, making modern warfare and future is boring dont get me wrong cod 4 madness but still cod 1,2,3 now they were worth it they should make more ww1 games not modern and futur crap!!!

i wud love 2 see another ww2 one or another modern warfare. anything from ww2 (or ww1) up until modern warfare wud suite me . anything futristic and i won’t buy it cos i haven’t brought any of the halo trilogy!

Time for COD to take us back to World War One.Fighting in the trences,using gasmasks,driving old tanks,and flying old airplanes.And of course,using bayonets to stab the enemy.What do you guys think ?

no plz no WW1 or WW2 bullsh*t, we had enough already in COD 1,2,3, thats enough no I want modern warefare for COD 4,5,6, I would love COD Desert storm or something to do with Iraq or Iran, COD Vietnam would be crap, we already have Battlefield Vietnam, stick to modern warefare and just add more missions for COD 4 and weapons, make sure we have the PKM machine gun for the next one, more maps in iraq, iran, cooool

i think it should be really reallistic and mabey set in future …but not to much in the future mabey 30-40 years and different styles of the moder guns and newer ones also keep all the good stuff now and just add more cutomization or sum thin

THE AUSSIE is right we need more bloody ww1 making COD games that r like 15 years infront wtf is that about they should just go back to the trenches and old style LOL not 20 years infront.
