Call of Duty 5 or 6: Future Warfare in development?

After Activision’s Call of Duty series will make the jump from WWII scenarios to Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare in late 2007, you have to wonder what lies ahead. Call of Duty 5: Future Warfare should be the next logical step in the FPS series!

From stopping the Nazis from taking over in World War II, to tackling terrorists around the globe in the 21st century, to fighting futuristic human factions on a barren planet Earth or alien interplanetary battles in the 22nd century?!

It’s only a rumor at this point, but chances of Infinity Ward following the track of DICE’s Battlefield franchise are very high. By the time this comes out the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 should have a big enough userbase to get a version of the game outside of the PC release. — Via GameSpot

June 16th 2008 UPDATE: Call of Duty 5: World at War was confirmed as the official title of the next COD game in WWII. Hopefully Call of Duty 6 will be Future Warfare.

Treyarch will be doing CoD5, so console only. CoD6 will be by IW/Activision so it will be console and PC.
I like WW2 and Some realistic modern warfare, but to be honest i hate Futuristic games, please dont be lamers and make one where all vehicles float and ridiculous weapons and silly stuff like that.
I’d like to see a very very nice WW2 game (like better graphics than cod4 even in any past or present war, probably prefer WW2 tho, and like people have said, more sides to choose from and more weapons, or some sort of ranking system like cod4 also.

yeah i want a cod5 but no dead zombies and aliens keep it real and not end of the world kind of games like halo 3 crap i still want new weapons and new nations to be but lets bkeep it real for the last 2 games o.kay please please please please.

i still stand for what else i said but i made up my mind no futeristic games and terrists attacking and invading earth but in modern warfare style please NO ALIENS AND ZOMBIE!

hi there im new in playing call of duty games i jus recently played call of duty 4 on xbox360 i think the game was good but there could of been more detials could b attach to it exp,able to drive.fly,boats
