Warning: SNK VS. Capcom Card Fighters DS faulty, game-halting bug found
SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS was released last Tuesday. U.S. players who picked it up last week are now reporting to SNK and Kotaku that the DS cartridge contains a game-halting bug that keeps you from being able to collect all the cards.
The bug occurs on the ninth floor of the tower during the second play through. The game crashes after talking to an opponent named Jon. Fighting him is necessary to complete the game, so you’re stuck at that point.
The best explanation for this problem would be either the game test team didn’t finish the game properly to the end or a manufacturing problem has occurred. SNK isn’t saying anything except that we should hear something official soon. Hopefully for those who picked up the game, they’ll be sent a replacement copy soon like Codemasters/Taito did with their Bubble Bobble Revolution bug.
