Too Human cutscene shows the value of severed heads

Too Human floating headToo Human developer Silicon Knights has released a new video of the Xbox 360-exclusive adventure/action/rpg/etc. What I thought was awesome was to hear the developer talk in a recent IGN interview that cutscenes in Too Human are fully interactive, meaning you’ll be able to look around and zoom in/out and who knows what else they’ll come up with inter-activity-wise.

This cutscene is “The Value of Severed Heads Revealed”

After the recent Too Human trailer unveiling, Denis Dyack continues blogging about the game’s progress, most recently with a blog titled The Path Ahead. He gives a nice list of items the team is working on right now:

* Character models – many of the wolf trooper faces were not completed and are being completely redone. Heimdal’s model will be significantly upgraded.
* Animation blending was not tuned on properly in the combat shown in the demo. Too Human looks much better with blending turned on happy. Animation in general is being polished, and more transition animations are being added.
* Silicon Knights have not started optimizing specifically for frame rate yet, but the game will have a solid 30fps when finished.
* Effects are being added and polished.
* Lip sync was off by several frames because of a code problem. This has been fixed.
* Polishing up the 18 different weapon classes. Only 4 shown in the demo: 1-handed sword, pistols, 2-handed staff (glaive) and a heavy laser. There is so much more that’s not shown yet.
* Camera tweaking is also being done.
