Football fans don’t want their favorite on the Madden NFL 08 cover in fear of the Madden curse
Game developer Electronic Arts will unveil the new Madden NFL 08 cover athlete tomorrow night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. San Diego Chargers fans think LaDainian Tomlinson is most likely to be on the cover of the latest game in the 56 million-selling Madden series.
Madden NFL 08 will be released on August 14th, 2007, for: PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, GameCube, Wii, DS, GameBoy Advance, and Mobiles.
Gamespot reports the “Madden curse” is infamous among sports gamers and pro athletes, with several cases of pros having injury-ridden or statistically awful seasons the year they appear on the cover of a Madden NFL game. I guess instead of realizing athletes in sports like football are prone to lots of injuries, they’d rather deny that, rely on superstitions, and start sites like saveltfrommadden.com. Now where are my lucky socks…
