Bug! the first of many Sega Saturn games for GameTap

Sega Saturn games have been added to GameTap‘s PC games subscription service. The debut Sega Saturn title is Bug! You can find the platform game as an Easter Egg titled “Insect?” and it’s described as “a hidden one-week sneak peek of planetary proportions”, and continues: “Stay tuned for the launch of more games for the Sega Saturn later this year.”

Other classic systems emulated on GameTap include: 851 games for the Arcade, Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Sega Dreamcast, Game Gear, Genesis, 32-X, SG-1000 and Master System, as well as the Intellivision, DOS Windows, and Neo Geo.

I remember seeing Bug! in Gamefan magazine back in 1995, it looked nice back then, but does it still play well? Video here:
So what were the Saturn classics Sega should release on GameTap? How about: Panzer Dragoon Saga, NiGHTS into Dreams, Shining Force 3, Guardian Heroes, Virtual On, Saturn Bomberman, Radiant Silvergun, Marvel Vs Street Fighter, Dragon Force, Virtua Fighter 2, Virtua Cop 2, Sega Rally, Daytona USA, etc.

lol. I remember this game! That is, I remember reading about it and seeing ads for it in EGM magazine.

It actually looks fun. Simple and a basic platformer, but fun nonetheless.

Wow I didn’t know Gametap had THAT many titles. And so many games that are hard to find nowadays from lesser known systems. Very cool.

Yeh I played the PC version and it is a basic platformer, didn’t play much of it, and I have no idea how well it would play with the Saturn controller. There was a sequel released a year later as well titled Bug Too.

Eh… eu joguei esse game com o controlador Sega Saturn do meu tio, ele ateh hj tem o videogame com alguns jogos incluindo o famoso bomberman, mas naum sei o fim do Bug, que na época era meu preferido!!! Ótimo jogo!!! Anos bons…
