In the latest issue of Famitsu, Shinji Mikami (belatedly) apologizes for Resident Evil 4 (2005) getting ported from GameCube to PS2 in an interview with Famitsu’s editor, Tsushin Hamamura. The creator and director of the latest game in the Resident Evil horror series said that he “betrayed both GameCube and PlayStation users”, he expresses his guilt and even apologizes for not apologizing sooner.

The 'Only For GameCube' logo is painful memory for some Nintendo/Resident Evil 4 fansThis apology was followed by the announcement of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition! Beating the game adds Ada’s “The Another Order” / “Separate Ways” from the PS2 version that wasn’t present in the GameCube version. The controls will be adapted for waggle, including Wiimote aiming. Waggle while holding down B to reload, waggle without holding to use your knife. The game also comes with a Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles trailer.

Resident Evil: Gun Survivor on PlayStationSome new details for the Wii-exclusive (for real this time?) Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles were revealed. It’s a first-person gun shooting (Gun Survivor?) game. You can’t move around the levels freely, the game is “specialized for shooting”. Entirely on rails, but you can look around with the analog stick and change the route you follow from time to time. Details on the history of how Umbrella falls will uncovered as the game progresses. Returning characters include Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Billy Cohen, Albert Wesker etc.
