EA Mythic announced their MMORPG Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning was been delayed until Q1 2008 to improve the gameplay experience.
The developer explains: “Since our acquisition by EA, we have been afforded many wonderful development opportunities and we plan to take full advantage of everything that is available. This includes taking several additional months to make the best MMORPG possible.” Wrote Mythic’s Mark Jacobs.
The community newsletter continued: “What has already emerged from this dedicated time of focused polish is nothing short of spectacular. In the Dwarf and Greenskin zones there is now more war, more Warhammer, and more of what makes WAR great,” said Jacobs. The team is also now working on Empire and Chaos zones.

We reported on the Japanese PaRappa The Rapper re-release from PSone to PSP before. But today Sony announced a North American release of PaRappa The Rapper. The iconic character-based music and hip-hop game will be available in July 2007 for PSP.
Developed by Sony Computer Entertainment, in association with legendary multimedia musician Masaya Matsuura and famed New York artist Rodney Greenblat, the PaRappa The Rapper franchise debuted 10 years ago on the original PlayStation and is widely credited with establishing the music and rhythm game genre that continues to thrive today. PaRappa The Rapper for the PSP system mobilizes PaRappa’s hip-hop adventures and builds on the success of this iconic franchise.
Featuring all the characters, levels and songs from the original, PaRappa The Rapper increases the franchise’s social appeal by offering a host of new PSP exclusive features, including the ability for up to four PSP systems to go head-to-head in ad-hoc battles; wirelessly share a demo level through Game Share; and use the PSP Infrastructure Mode to download eight additional playable remixes for players to rap along to.
This video shows the first level in the PSP version:

SNK vs. Capcom Card Fighters DS was released last Tuesday. U.S. players who picked it up last week are now reporting to SNK and Kotaku that the DS cartridge contains a game-halting bug that keeps you from being able to collect all the cards.
The bug occurs on the ninth floor of the tower during the second play through. The game crashes after talking to an opponent named Jon. Fighting him is necessary to complete the game, so you’re stuck at that point.
The best explanation for this problem would be either the game test team didn’t finish the game properly to the end or a manufacturing problem has occurred. SNK isn’t saying anything except that we should hear something official soon. Hopefully for those who picked up the game, they’ll be sent a replacement copy soon like Codemasters/Taito did with their Bubble Bobble Revolution bug.

Almost a full year has passed since Valve released Half-Life 2: Episode One, the first of three promised episodes. Half-Life 2: Episode Two was originally scheduled for release late last year, but Valve delayed the release date to later this year. When it does arrive, it will feature not only the continuing story of series protagonist Gordon Freeman and partner Alyx Vance battling the alien Combine, but also the multiplayer action game Team Fortress 2 and a 3D puzzle game called Portal. To learn more about what’s going on in Episode Two, GameSpot caught up with Valve project manager Erik Johnson for a preview of big things to come.
Question: When can we expect Episode Two to ship, and will it ship on all three platforms simultaneously?
Answer: We’re looking to ship in the fall of this year, on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 simultaneously.
Question: It’s been reported that Episode Two will be longer than Episode One. Could you elaborate on that?
Answer: Our play tests of Episode Two are running closer to eight hours, where Episode One was taking around six. If you take a look at the statistics we compiled from people who actually played through Episode One, it looks like the average completion time ran around five hours, 41 minutes.
