Guitar Hero confirmed for Wii
You might vaguely remember last month we mentioned Activision said they expect to have 60 individual products, not all full games, which would: “aggressively target the Nintendo platforms consistent with our multi-platform strategy and Nintendo’s expected growth. In 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Guitar Hero.”
Now Ngamer confirms this, to quote: “Cult rhythm game Guitar Hero is on its way to Wii. It comes with a guitar-shaped controller and plays convincingly enough to make you think you’re making real music. Hopefully we’ll get the actual guitar, and not a pretend remote/nunchuk version.”
So for the time being it seems unsure if it comes with a wired or wireless guitar like the PS2 and Xbox 360 games do or if it’s a plastic shell to fit the Wii remote controller into. Of course the latter would confirm it as a wireless guitar, which kind of is a must nowadays. No doubt the music game will be released later in 2007, so more soon. Via Neurope
