It’s no April Fools joke, the Swedish gaming magazine Gamereactor just put a NiGHTS 2 sequel preview of their coming issue online, but Sega asked them to remove it again from their website, because the magazine wasn’t supposed to come out (and thus reveal the game) until April 10th.
Hamzik translated it and it says: “SEGA’s dreamdemon returns”. Inside on the preview it says: “Gamereactor reveals the new game“. So it’s not just the original Sega Saturn game being put on the Virtual Console. Gamereactor doesn’t mention any specific platform(s), but considering the UK’s Official Nintendo magazine has promised a similar feature next month, expect it to at least appear on Wii.
Sadly chances are slim the creator of the original, Yuji Naka, will develop the sequel. Why? Because he was quoted as saying: “At present, I have no such intentions.”
