Medal of Honor: Vanguard for WiiStarting this week through Medal of Honor: Vanguard, you can step into the boots of Frank Keegan, Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division and engage in battles throughout Europe. From Operation Husky on the shores of Sicily to Operation Varsity inside Nazi Germany, you’ll fight behind enemy lines in the epic WWII battles that turned America’s first paratroopers into the heroes of WWII.

Head to Europe with the Wii remote controller and nunchuck in hand to eliminate the Nazi. Check out the gameplay demo:

I’m not usually a big fan of military shooters, but holy cow if that game doesn’t look sweet! Hopefully it’ll go a long way in making shooters on the Wii seem more viable after the colossal failure of Red Steel.

Which I still hope they make a Red Steel 2, I think it could be done right if they do another.

Yeah the graphics are definitely a step up from Call of Duty 3 on Wii, but we’ve got a long way to go before developers start making games twice as pretty as Resident Evil 4 on GameCube.

As for Red Steel, I gave the multiplayer a whirl with a pal the other day and that’s when it became all too clear this wasn’t pick up and play gameplay, which is the one thing it should’ve been. Heck even the N64 shooters played better, so it’s definitely the controls where these new Wii games should be at.
