Star Wars Battlefront III coming as an Xbox 360 exclusive from the creators of GoldenEye

The March issue of UK magazine PlayStation World (PSW) made a surprising announcement in the middle of their Star Wars retrospective feature. On page 65, PSW states that Free Radical Design (the creators GoldenEye and TimeSplitters) is developing the next/third iteration of Star Wars Battlefront.

To quote the magazine: “Star Wars Battlefront III is also currently in development, with LucasArts having switched coders from Pandemic Studios – who made Battlefront I and Battlefront II – to Free Radical… Star Wars Battlefront III is listed as an Xbox 360 exclusive, but expect a full PSW review to before the end of the year.”

The magazine doesn’t think it will stay Xbox 360 exclusive and will come to PS3 later in 2007, which makes sense since Star Wars Battlefront II appeared on PC, Xbox, PS2 & PSP back in 2005. While LucasArts hasnâ€™t made an official announcement yet, we thought this was too good to pass up on. Let’s hope we’ll hear/see more about the online multiplayer shooter soon.

Yeah. SWBF2 was pretty good on PC. Hopefully, if this comes out for 360, it’ll be good too. I just want to know WHEN!?!! lol.

Battlefront 3 is coming out on PS2 aswell being developed by Rebellion I’ve played it in it’s alpha ^^

g man you dont know jack sh*t about the ps3. It is has better graphics then the 360 and it’s online system will soon look like xbox live (search ps3 update 3.40) and alot of the games that are xbox are gonna be coming out on ps3 and a more wider variety of games are coming out later this year / 09.

To the battlefront 3 point, radical will most likely make this for next gerneration systems including the ps3 and 360 not the ps2 and xbox as they simply won’t be able to handle this game.

This game is gonna be dope already ps3 or 360.

But the best thing you could add to this game is 1- lag free and 2- online cross play like Lost Planet. That was all systems could enjoy to play together. That sh*t would get you game of the year. Hmm nope lets try decade

I hope it bf3 comes out on the pc, ps3, xbox360 and the wii but pc is most important, but is vista a next gen.?
