Star Wars Battlefront III coming as an Xbox 360 exclusive from the creators of GoldenEye

The March issue of UK magazine PlayStation World (PSW) made a surprising announcement in the middle of their Star Wars retrospective feature. On page 65, PSW states that Free Radical Design (the creators GoldenEye and TimeSplitters) is developing the next/third iteration of Star Wars Battlefront.

To quote the magazine: “Star Wars Battlefront III is also currently in development, with LucasArts having switched coders from Pandemic Studios - who made Battlefront I and Battlefront II - to Free Radical… Star Wars Battlefront III is listed as an Xbox 360 exclusive, but expect a full PSW review to before the end of the year.”

The magazine doesn’t think it will stay Xbox 360 exclusive and will come to PS3 later in 2007, which makes sense since Star Wars Battlefront II appeared on PC, Xbox, PS2 & PSP back in 2005. While LucasArts hasn’t made an official announcement yet, we thought this was too good to pass up on. Let’s hope we’ll hear/see more about the online multiplayer shooter soon.

im not a fan boy i rekon battlefront 3 will be great for both the 360 and ps3.

Cumon guys you really need to make it for all systems xcept dumb ones like gamcube. if sony would get its head out of its butt it would clearly see that battlefront 3 would make an awesome profit.

ps3 is the best, ive got 1 and xbox 360 would get ring of fire when using bf3

edy its the ring of death, hehe and you dont get it from playing games you get it when you keep playing the 360 constantly. as i have ps3 and xbox 360 and i personnaly think 360 is much better. has better online, has better graphics and has much wider rnage of games then ps3 (gaystation)

Renegade Squadron and the BF2 for the psp sucked.
They would be dumb to make it for only one system.
PC, 360, PS3, WII. If they do that then there will be a lot of money in their wallets.

makin it for the 360 is the best thing to do. i mean cmon, Im finally apart of the group that can get the game. this is freakin awesome. if other people want to get bf3, then the should get the 360

Yeah. SWBF2 was pretty good on PC. Hopefully, if this comes out for 360, it’ll be good too. I just want to know WHEN!?!! lol.
