Star Wars Battlefront III coming as an Xbox 360 exclusive from the creators of GoldenEye

The March issue of UK magazine PlayStation World (PSW) made a surprising announcement in the middle of their Star Wars retrospective feature. On page 65, PSW states that Free Radical Design (the creators GoldenEye and TimeSplitters) is developing the next/third iteration of Star Wars Battlefront.

To quote the magazine: “Star Wars Battlefront III is also currently in development, with LucasArts having switched coders from Pandemic Studios - who made Battlefront I and Battlefront II - to Free Radical… Star Wars Battlefront III is listed as an Xbox 360 exclusive, but expect a full PSW review to before the end of the year.”

The magazine doesn’t think it will stay Xbox 360 exclusive and will come to PS3 later in 2007, which makes sense since Star Wars Battlefront II appeared on PC, Xbox, PS2 & PSP back in 2005. While LucasArts hasn’t made an official announcement yet, we thought this was too good to pass up on. Let’s hope we’ll hear/see more about the online multiplayer shooter soon.

I know that the Star Wars Battlefront III game may be high-tech, Texximan, but still, I do not see that as an excuse to exclude it as a game for the PS2, even if it has been made over 8 years ago.

first off i have no friggin clue what olkjlkjhkk said. But i think that the game producers definitly should have it on the PS3, PS2, X-box, X-box 360, and wii. It sucks crap that they should have to send it out only on one system, they could make more money if they made it for more systems. >:(

I definitly agree with trooper 72 i mean why would they put it only on one or two systems.
LOL. Another thing i would like to see is if you could create you’re own character. Like have an ewok with duel sabers or a gungan with a F***ing shot gun. =D

I think that the game should only be on X-box 360 and only X-box 360. The playstation 3 has the lowest ranking out of all the new systems. I took a survey around my neighborhood and all the people (well most of the people anyway) said that Battlefront lll should only be on X-box 360. Most of the world has an X-box 360, the playstation 3 is too pricy so that means if you are a playstation system owner you would have to spend like $599.00 just to play battlefront lll.

Nobody cares what ranking the playstation 3 is on the game scale or whatever kit fisto 278. The X-box and playstation don’t really share most games, like Halo or Kingdom hearts. But that doesn’t mean to say that they shouldn’t take away Battle front 3 away from the playstation. For god’s sake they’ve Shared the battlefront games for a while now. Plus X-box has gotten most of the best star wars games like jedi knight 2 jedi out cast. That was ranked the best star wars game EVER. Non of the playstation 2 owners knew what it was like to play that game. Now they’re just going to take the best and possibly last battlefront game away from us. That to most of us probably feels like a cold slap in the groin. (roars really loadly)

The Playstation 3 is the best console out with cell proccessor which xbox 360 doesnt have cause its SHIT plus blue ray can hold 50 gb looking for 100 gb but xbox 360 only 9 !! So we cn put more on a disc with graphics and all tht lot but thts y halo 3 tk my friend and me only 1 hour to complete
