Star Wars Battlefront III coming as an Xbox 360 exclusive from the creators of GoldenEye

The March issue of UK magazine PlayStation World (PSW) made a surprising announcement in the middle of their Star Wars retrospective feature. On page 65, PSW states that Free Radical Design (the creators GoldenEye and TimeSplitters) is developing the next/third iteration of Star Wars Battlefront.

To quote the magazine: “Star Wars Battlefront III is also currently in development, with LucasArts having switched coders from Pandemic Studios - who made Battlefront I and Battlefront II - to Free Radical… Star Wars Battlefront III is listed as an Xbox 360 exclusive, but expect a full PSW review to before the end of the year.”

The magazine doesn’t think it will stay Xbox 360 exclusive and will come to PS3 later in 2007, which makes sense since Star Wars Battlefront II appeared on PC, Xbox, PS2 & PSP back in 2005. While LucasArts hasn’t made an official announcement yet, we thought this was too good to pass up on. Let’s hope we’ll hear/see more about the online multiplayer shooter soon.

Goldeneye 007 was made by Rare. Goldeneye: Rogue Agent was a Dreamworks Interactive game.
You should get your facts right before posting on this stuff.

Ian, right back at you. Free Radical Design are former Rare team members who worked on Goldeneye, making those programmers the creators as well.

What the hell is this? I mean only on Xbox 360. Xbox 360 can go to hell! I mean you are screwing PS2 owners who can only afford a PS2 out of a game. A game that some PS2 owners like myself have the prequel(s) to. This sucks balls on so many levels. I have both Battlefront 1 and 2 and if you screw me out of getting 3 then you will never hear the end of it from me!

It will be on wii to imagine swing saber with the wiimote or sniping someone with precision. I hop you can create a customizable cahracter with choice of any infantry primary and secondary weapons

x360 is gud but can it compete with the new inovative wii controls no, it can only beat the wii by using its high performance processor in graphicsso wat does graphcs got 2 du wif nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its realy gameplay hey y the fuk did the wii game zelda beat an x360 game for game of the year in 06 shows tat 360 is only for luks in games not gameplay, so realy star wars batlefront 3 will turn out beta on wii due to the inovative motion sensing so if u realy wana get awsome graphics which smash the ps3 n x360 just get a comp which has a gud graphics card n ram n processor n tat would eat up any game tat is on the ps3 n 360
