Beautiful Katamari rolls to PS3 and Xbox 360 in October, Wii in November 2007
Namco has this week announced to retailers the arrival of the hit Katamari series onto the next-gen platforms. Beautiful Katamari is set to release on October 17th for $39.99 on the PS3 and Xbox 360 and will feature Sixaxis support for the PS3 version. The Wii version will arrive shortly after on November 14th on the Wii for $29.99. No word on the controls there yet.
Orangeloungeradio confirms this and it also coincides with a trademark of the same Beautiful Katamari name Namco Bandai filed back in 2006 on August 22nd (Trademark serial number 76671822).
Sadly it’s not yet known if this is an entirely new game, a remake, or some sort of Katamari compilation.
PS: If you’re unfortunate enough to have never enjoyed the music and fun Katamari brings. Here’s the idea: You control a little green guy as he rolls a ball of stuff across multiple levels. As the stuff sticks to the ball, it grows bigger and bigger. A recipe for addictive gameplay to be sure.
