Dragon Ball Online game coming as Korean PC MMORPG

Dragon Ball manga/anime series creator Akira Toriyama is personally supervising the development of Dragon Ball Online with Bandai and Bandai Korea. An open beta test is promised for this PC game in the first half of this year. So get ready for many clone SuperSaiyanGoku9000 usernames.

The player becomes the hero of the Dragon Ball world and will be able to enjoy this Dragon Ball game to resemble the original work closely. The game graphics will look like the original cartoon thanks to 3D cel-shading. To play the game smoothly, the minimum system requirements are set at a Pentium 4 2GHz with 512MB RAM.

The following may be a rusty translation, but there’s also mention of it being “the first game that mixes martial arts and raw fish together” and “in PVP battles a weaker player can hide from the character with the strongest power level.” I guess that’s a handy DBZ move “the coward runs away!”

Other upcoming games with Akira’s involvement, as a character designer, are Dragon Quest Swords for the Wii and Dragon Quest IX for the Nintendo DS. Via Thisisgame

Sadly there will be no saiyans but as a human i belive you get to be like half sayian or a quarter saiyan because think about it every one would be a saiyan so you get saiyan powers but your not a saiyan

hi all , i’m french and keep looking for information about db online and found some website that talked about a beta release.
Does someone knows anything about it ?
And if there’s a japan release where could i download the game ?

Sadly it’s hard to find any good recent news about it’s release date or any type of estimation about its release other than “2009″ Here it is 5 months into 09 and still nothing.
