Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 goes offline on March 31

First Konami takes Metal Gear Solid 3 offline and now Capcom announced that the server for their PlayStation 2 online game Resident Evil Outbreak: File#2 will be closing at the end of March 2007.

Since Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 was released in April 2005 in America and August 2005 in Europe, Capcom has provided a server enabling gamers to experience the online element of this game free of charge. File 1 will remain online!

To quote: “Regretfully, conditions now dictate that we must close down this server effective from March 31, 2007. Naturally it will still be possible to play the game offline, but the online component will no longer be available.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of those who have been loyal members of the RE Outbreak community for the past months.”

how do you even know UC will be online?
if it will be, ill play it almost evry day, but not “evry” day.. i like an online super smash bros (upcoming SSBB) more than an online RE, i played REOBF2 online on PAL version, i was in the “The Deathmatch Contest 2006″.. witch sucked balls becaus the players in it arent the best players of outbreak, and 2 players were in a team trying to kill me while some the 4th player was alone, killing zombies, using all health as possible, sk_1887 too.. masterjim didnt want to move on and kill players.. only.. me.. and i had no time to get health. only 1 first aid, at storage room 2 where i was safe.. WITH A HUGE CACKROACHE! and in the end.. i died.. while.. sk still running around, helping masterjim while masterjim shot him down for a funny reason “masterjim: i lied!, we are not team, i wanted to win alone!” jim stole all health, tried to shoot me, couldnt hit becaus he was too stupid, i went to the lost player, he had much of health, no bullets (for shooting zombies all the time) i tried to be smart, took my shotgun, shot him, he some how hit me once with iron pipe… i fell down and died.. masterjim won for noobish-ness thinking “im better than HumanIce”

godd*mn why the hell yall do it, soon as i got my key board i logged on and it said it was closed down.i f*cking hate you capcom b*tches f*cking go to hell im never buying from yall again never again yall just lost a customer. f*ck.why why why why. that was the best online game ever and yall ruined it for ever. p.s when file# 3 coming.

this game beats world of warcraft.. really.. and this was even the first game i really played online.. other games i just played 4 times and no more.. this game actually had something in it, what people truly want, like the huge zombie battle in front of the R.P.D station with ONLINE PLAY where 4 players help you out.. and the mr.X is even in this one too.. and very cool tyrants and stuff.. i love this game.. but now, its offline.. and i really hate thats it offline.. thanx to capcom, i have to die of boringness while waiting for SSBB, RE5, RE:UC, Metroid prime 3.. i got nothing to do at home, right now i would have been chilling in outbreak instead of playing games i already won, and do nothing on my PC, only writing stuff on forums and sh*t..

I’m so pissed off that File 2 is close. I can’t believe how CAPCOM laugh at us. They are shitt. I won’t, never, buy capcom stuffs anymore.

I bought the game for its online play. I loved file one so much I had to had file 2. then I put it in and it sayed the servers were off line…. put them back online. you can still make money capcom

Its all quite to bad really! I my self am a re veteran! and Illl be honest re file 2 was mega kick ass! I loved the coop and survival challenge, whether I bumbep into a few pk hillbillies I had some great fun. Hey CAPCOM will there be a file 3? If soo broaden your characters and scenario list please, Id gladly pay yop dollar
