Sid Meier, the creator and director of the Civilization series, has been examining the turn-based strategy game for DS development, as well as keeping an eye on console releases for a future Civilization V, outside of a PC build of course. Now, its publisher Take-Two has new info about Civilization.
Take-Two’s financial results for fiscal 2006 reveal new Civilization content is planned by 2K Games for 2008. Sadly these details don’t confirm whether or not it’s a second expansion pack for Civilization IV (the first one being Warlords) or a completely new game — Civilization V.
To quote: “In addition to the licensed 2K Sports lineup, starting in 2008, 2K will have new content based on its Civilization franchise and other products,” the PR said.
Dear Sir,
I believe there is a lot of room for improvement with the war or battle module of the game. still there is no real way to combine different unit types to form an army which was key in how the world was shaped. surely no one can deny how the Roman’s use of battle formations effected their destiny and why Hanabel was ultimately defeated because of the changing battle tactics which he ignored. civilization V should the players to combine their military units to form armies bette, similar to the offshoot “call to power”.
