SSX Blur review video (Wii)

SSX Blur for WiiSSX Blur is everything you expect from the franchise, delivered in a totally unexpected way. Rip up some ice in this entry in the SSX franchise designed to let you use your body and motions in ways possible only with Wii as you race down the mountain. Revolutionary controls take full advantage of the Wii’s potential by putting you in total command of your skier or rider, on-the-ground and in-the-air, by translating every motion you make into the skills that create mountain legends.

Does the first snowboarding game for the Wii stomp the landing or sketch out? Find out in this SSX Blur video review.

To quote the video review: “SSX Blur has definitely made some sacrifices on its way to the Wii. There are fewer tricks, and the uber moves don’t always work. But if the sensation of carving through two feet of powder and launching into the sky is important to you, there’s no other snowboarding game that can replicate what the Wii controls provide. You’ll catch a few edges while you’re learning, but once you do, it’s hard to put SSX Blur down.

If you’re a fan of the SSX series who has become disinterested over the past few years, SSX Blur will stoke the flames once again. It replicates the feeling of sliding down a mountain side with eerie precision and manages to make other control schemes feel dated. There’s certainly plenty of opportunity for improvement with the sequel, but with a ton of content and even more fun, it’s hard to go wrong with SSX Blur.”
