Thanks for the comment Larry! I appreciate your guys interest and support of VGB!

Conducting an interview with you guys would definitely be cool. I'll think about it and talk it over with Supa and we'll see if we can get that arranged.

Take care!

You're more than welcome, astro! I'm always glad to read stories such as parents enjoying OC ReMixes for their musical merit, even though they have no idea they're derived from a game!

If yourself, supadupagama, or anyone on the VGB team ever wanted to conduct an interview or other piece on OC ReMix, please let me know. Y'all can email me anytime. OCR creator djpretzel and/or myself can answer basically any questions you guys would have, and we're always glad to spread the message on video game music and remixing the classics!

Thanks Larry, I'm glad you enjoyed the review!

I've gotten lots of enjoyment out of OCR even though lately I haven't been checking up on the site as much, even though I've been meaning too. So thanks for pointing out the new submissions and I'll definitely download Kong in Concert.

I loved all of Protricity's DKC2 remixes, some of them are among my favorite OCR mixes! Particularly "Assembly Line Apparations" and "Brambles in the Breeze". My mom even likes the latter!

I used to find it hilarious that I'd play some stuff from OCR and she'd be like, "That was beautiful who was that!?" and I'd tell her it was from a game, a remix from a video game remix site where people post their takes on game tunes. She was always like "Wow that's from a game?!"

Anyways thanks for checking out the site, I really appreciate your comment.

I actually also plugged OCR in my review of Turok 2 by pointing to JV's fantastic Port of Adia Drummix. Which so impressed me that I thought any fan of Turok or anyone who wanted to get a taste of the music in the game should check it out.

I've actually contemplated including mini flash players of some game tunes in reviews of certain games where the music is a big part of it's enjoyment (for me personally). And I just thought it'd be a cool idea cause I've never seen anyone else do it. lol.

Thanks again for the comment, you've reminded me that I need to check out OCR more often like I used to. Thanks again! :)

Thanks for the mention of OC ReMix, astrotriforce. DKC has inspired a lot of excellent, creative arrangements, and I'm definitely glad you've enjoyed them.

The OCR album "Kong in Concert" is one of the site's best, IMO, and even series composer Dave Wise had kind words for some of the ReMixes from the album.

Since this post, we've had Disco Dan's return to OCR with his recent arrangement, "Riptide." (http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR01632/) Hopefully you've had the opportunity to check it out. If not, please enjoy it with my kind regards!

[...] Donkey Kong Country (Super NES, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points = $8): Read our Donkey Kong Country review here. The game is an incredible island adventure, and the first game to feature Donkey Kong’s sidekick, Diddy Kong. Challenged by the crazed tribe of reptilian Kremlings, the Kongs face their cunning adversaries armed with lightning-quick moves, chest-pounding muscle and awesome aerial acrobatics. The duo also gets help from a host of friends and family, from Funky Kong, Cranky Kong and Candy Kong to Rambi the rhino, Expresso the ostrich, Enguarde the swordfish, Squawks the parrot and Winky the frog. This game has more than 30 levels, plus dozens of hidden caves and secret rooms - more than 100 areas in all. Help the Kongs recover their stolen banana hoard! [...]
