Last December Kazunori Yamaouchi, CEO and producer at Gran Turismo developer Polyphony, revealed that Gran Turismo HD would only appear for download as a Concept demo through the PS3’s PlayStation Store, in order for them to focus attention on Gran Turismo 5. At the same time he said “its possible additional Concept demos will be released further down the line.”
Today Sony Computer Entertainment told Jeuxfrance they will release Grand Turismo 5 in Europe and presumably America in the spring of 2008 (end Q1 2008 most likely). Before it’s 2008 release, Sony will release the Gran Turismo 5 Prologue demo to the PS3’s PlayStation Store in the autumn of 2007 (end Q4 2007 most likely).
It’s not yet known if you’ll have to pay for the GT5 demo or not, but GT HD is free, so racing simulation fans shouldn’t be too worried. The GT5 demo includes: several cars and circuits and is playable online via the Gran Turismo Network.
I was waiting for the gran turismo 5 to come out before I bought a ps3 so it looks like I will have to buy a xbox 360 instead I can not wait another year
