Square Enix today revealed that the Kingdom Hearts series has shipped over 10 million copies worldwide, making it one of the most popular video game franchises ever. It’s not sold numbers yet, but it can’t be far off.
“When we first started developing Kingdom Hearts, we never imagined we would pass the 10 million mark so quickly,” said series producer Shinji Hashimoto. “We are delighted and extremely grateful for the support from our fans around the globe. We hope to continue to provide games which fulfill your anticipation in the future.” Let’s hope so, because everybody wants Kingdom Hearts 3 and we already know there are multiple Kingdom Hearts games for console and handheld coming.

North America: 3 million+
Europe & PAL territories: 1.1 million+

North America: 900,000+

Japan: 1.1 million+
North America: 1.7 million+
