Konami yesterday announced a brand-new Dance Dance Revolution game for the Wii that will, naturally, use the Wii motion control to add to the dance experience.
Called Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party, it will use a traditional DDR dance pad mat along with the Wii remote and nunchuk, having players match dance steps with controller motions for a whole new spin on the classic game.
DDR: Hottest Party will also support up to four players in multiple game modes and minigames.
Features: In addition to the series’ free play and workout modes, Hottest Party will challenge players to dance in synch with one another, as well as offer a new support mode and an updated battle mode. The game will also sport a new soundtrack with songs pulled from the last four decades of popular music. Take a look at the Dancing Shoes gameplay:
will the dancemat be wireless? or will it plug into the usb port or gamecube slot?
Quiny, the dancemat has not been shown yet, so no one knows until Konami reveals it. We’ll post more info when we get it.
This will be cool! Now people will be dancing even more!
Question? I know its just been announced but was wondering about a release date. All I am seeing is 2007. My son is very excited, has been wanting a ddr but wanted to wait for the WII release.
Puck, DDR Hottest Party is set for a late 2007 release. That’s usually in the last three months of the year.
Bummer, but thank-you
