These will appear on the Wii’s Virtual Console download service in 2007 at a price of 800 Wii Points ($8). The list:
* Sonic Spinball (1993)
* Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle (1989)
* Sword of Vermillion (1990)

You might’ve noticed that Sega ad up there (click it to enlarge). I was looking for the Sword of Vermilion release year at Wikipedia and noticed the archived “Genesis Does What Nintendon’t” ad. It was the catch phrase used in the early 1990s in the USA to promote the Sega Genesis’ 2nd generation of games, implying they were better than Nintendo’s SNES games. The irony was that not only did Sega lose the console wars that generation, they claimed Sword of Vermillion was better than SNES RPG’s because it had 300 hours of gameplay time, but even novice gamers can finish the game in 20 hours. And of course now you’ll soon be able to play it on Nintendo Wii!

Interesting fact is that the RPG Sword of Vermilion was Sega’s first console-exclusive game designed by Yu Suzuki of Virtua Fighter and Shenmue fame. — Also on the list were Streets of Rage (1991) & Bio-Hazard Battle (1992), which were previously announced by Sega. Via Vooks
