Pokemon Diamond and Pearl have sold about 5 million times in Japan in just a few months. The new Nintendo DS games will be released in the Americas on April 22, 2007, and the rest of the world has no release date for 2007 yet.
See all 107 new Pokemon in Diamond and Pearl in this video. Don’t watch if you do not want the new Pokemon evolutions spoiled.
At VGB we think it’s more fun to be surprised by the evolutions while playing the new games, but it is cool to see all the evolutions lined up: …
Thanks to gg for the first movie.
The WarioWare team took an idea so wacky, it could only be made with the latest technology: the Wii Remote controller! In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, Wario stumbles into an old building called the Temple of Form. Inside, he finds a mystical treasure called the Form Baton.
There are many ways to hold and move the baton (called “forms”), and legend has it that if the holder follows the forms, he can overcome any challenge. With this discovery, the form craze spreads and soon everybody is doing their best to master the moves and so will you! Update: As a result the game has sold 1.82 million copies worldwide in the first year since release.

Hi. Welcome to our Every Extend Extra competition! Thanks to the kind people at Buena Vista Games, we can give away some free games to you. Answer 3 questions right to win 1 of 3 copies of the new PSP puzzle shooter Every Extend Extra.
But it gets better, the first person to send in all correct answers will win the only copy signed by the game’s creator Tetsuya Mizuguchi, after a week out of the rest of you two will be selected at random to win the remaining two games. We hung out with Tetsuya at a club a few days ago, which is where he showed us how big the game is. Yep, we’re cool like that
Here are the questions:
1. How many levels IN TOTAL are there in Every Extend Extra?
2. What is the name of the previous puzzle game released on PSP by the same creators as Every Extend Extra?
3. Who published this and the previous Tetsuya Mizuguchi puzzle games on PSP?
Send your answers to: videogamesblogger@gmail.com
To answer all 3 questions correctly, you can go to the official websites of Every Extend Extra, Lumines 2, and Buena Vista Games. Oh oops, we probably shouldn’t have helped you out like that. You have until February 2 to win.
We have only one condition for you to join this competition, if you won the previous competition on VideoGamesBlogger you cannot win twice in a row, that wouldn’t be fair to the other visitors. Otherwise, have fun, and take a look at a new interview with Tetsuya Mizuguchi:

The official UK PlayStation Magazine has a surprising comment in their February issue. In an article discussing Capcom’s series (known as a PlayStation exclusive one) and the future of Devil May Cry 4, they bring up whether it will remain a PS3 exclusive or not.
PlayStation Magazine reports that Capcom will be showing some more Microsoft love and will be bringing the series to the Xbox 360. Normally we’d be hesitant to believe this looking at the source being Xbox360fanboy, but when a Sony magazine editor brings up the Devil May Cry game might go multiplatform it’s a good day for all gamers.
In a recent interview with Gamasutra about their Oblivion & Star Trek franchises, Bethesda’s vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines, was asked about their highly anticipated resurrection of the classic Fallout post-apocalyptic role-playing PC franchise.
On Fallout 3 Mr. Hines commented: “We are a fairly good ways into the process. The team has ramped up, and it will be a little while longer. As is the case with all of our games, especially those of this scope, we don’t really want to talk about them until they are in a state where we can show you, rather than having you simply picturing it in your minds eye.â€
He added that: “Fallout is not a quick two year process, and we are already several years into the project.†And here we were thinking at E3 in 2006 Fallout 3 development had just started. It looks like we might be seeing the futuristic RPG sooner than expected. At least it will arrive well before the 2010 release of that Fallout MMORPG.

Here’s a huge list of secretive facts from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii & GameCube that you might not have known about.
- After defeating an enemy, press A without moving and Link will perform the cool-looking flourish move(spinning his sword before sheathing it) like he does in cutscenes. This may only work on harder enemies.
- On Epona, press A to get the speed boost then draw your sword, Link will hold it above his head like he’s going in to battle.
- When going in to a group of enemies on Epona, you can do a quick dismount, and Link will hop off with a backflip. Similarly, if you mount Epona while running from the back, Link will hop up and speed off.
- You can talk to Epona when you’re beast Link. She tells you to hurry up and change in to your human form.
- The night sky is an accurate representation of the real night sky. Stars are the correct brightness, and constellations such as Orion and Cassiopeia. The moon moves, but the stars stay still, however.
- Hyrule in this game is geographically the same as in Ocarina of Time (flipped horizontally for the Wii version, as we know.)
- The howling stone songs are all from Ocarina of Time. One of the Howling Stone songs is the Requiem of Spirit. Another one is the Song of Healing. Another is Oath to Order.

It’s always a good time for a Tony Montana quote. After making the PS2, Xbox & PC unsafe, Scarface: The World Is Yours will be coming to Nintendo Wii in 2007. Below are some quotes from NGamer Issue 7, which on the cover asks “Is this the closest thing to Grand Theft Auto on Wii?” Well, at VGB we’ve got our fingers crossed Rockstar will port that nifty GTA Trilogy to Wii. Anyway, a big shout-out to Editor Mark Green… or should I say Dark Mark
who gave me fond memories of the N64/NGC Magazine days. Quotes:
“Shooting – a key part in most missions – is mapped on to the remote pointer, with players able to direct the aiming reticule around the screen, leaving a trail of Miami dead in its path. Moving your hand to direct Tony’s gun while your body remains still captures Montana’s steadfast mentality perfectly, that stubborn determination to stand his ground – an anchor with an AK.â€
“The famous filmic image is of Tony standing in his office doorway, legs wide open, determinedly bolted to the floor with his ‘little friend’ the M16 held firmly in his hands. On the Wii, players will be able to adopt this pose, spraying bullets as one with Montana – gaming and filmic iconography merged into one.â€
“And what would Scarface be without that very implement that left said face scarred in the first place? If Resident Evil 4’s bag-wearing chainsaw jugglers got your gore-loving synapses firing, wait until you rev Scarface’s flesh munching baby into action. Chainsaw waving is directed with the remote, lopping heads clean off with a high swipe, or using more choppy motions to re-enact everyone’s favourite Monty Python and the Holy Grail Black Knight arm-putation moment. To add a cherry to the viscera flavoured cake, the remote speaker will even growl like a saw so as not to bring you out of the moment. Lovely.â€
At Midway’s annual Winter press event yesterday they didn’t just show next-gen shooters like Hour of Victory, BlackSite: Area 51, and Unreal Tournament III. No there were two casual portable announcements as well.
1. In Hot Brain for PSP you go through a collection of puzzles and tests designed to make you smarter. Gee, that doesn’t sound familiar at all *cough*Brain Age*cough*. Who isn’t familiar, however, is Fred Willard of films such as Best In Show who will lead players through the game.
2. TouchMaster DS is a portable version of the popular touch screen arcade minigame collection. If you go online via Wi-Fi you can add your highest scores to the Midway Tournament Network leaderboards. 1up doubts the more ‘adult’ minigames popular in bars will make it into this version.

The 1.4 million Wii users who’ve taken the console online so far, might be interested to know the free News Channel is available today (a day early, just how we like our news) after you update your Wii. Powered by news from the Associated Press, Nintendo puts a simple solution for straight news right in the palm of your hand in the form of the Wii Remote.
Some fun Easter eggs can be discovered too. If you click the cats in the loading bar they make sounds. In the news list you can choose Slideshow and get the news from around the world shown to you, but if you click on the bottom-right Globe button you can move the globe around by grabbing it like you would in the Weather Channel and then find news all around the world. Sadly I can’t find the talking cow in Des Moines
Handy is that when you’re reading an article you selected, you can click and hold the 1 button to underline the text in red that you want to point out. I just remembered that in the Slideshow you can select the speed the articles fly by at with the 1 & 2 buttons. The rest is pretty straight forward with A selecting things, D-pad for choosing directions, 1 & 2 buttons to adjust article text size, and using B to scroll through pages fast like you would in the Internet Channel.
