The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for WiiHere’s a huge list of secretive facts from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii & GameCube that you might not have known about.

- After defeating an enemy, press A without moving and Link will perform the cool-looking flourish move(spinning his sword before sheathing it) like he does in cutscenes. This may only work on harder enemies.

- On Epona, press A to get the speed boost then draw your sword, Link will hold it above his head like he’s going in to battle.

- When going in to a group of enemies on Epona, you can do a quick dismount, and Link will hop off with a backflip. Similarly, if you mount Epona while running from the back, Link will hop up and speed off.

- You can talk to Epona when you’re beast Link. She tells you to hurry up and change in to your human form.

- The night sky is an accurate representation of the real night sky. Stars are the correct brightness, and constellations such as Orion and Cassiopeia. The moon moves, but the stars stay still, however.

- Hyrule in this game is geographically the same as in Ocarina of Time (flipped horizontally for the Wii version, as we know.)

- The howling stone songs are all from Ocarina of Time. One of the Howling Stone songs is the Requiem of Spirit. Another one is the Song of Healing. Another is Oath to Order.

- You can find a silver rupee in the Cave of Ordeals; it’s in the room with two Dark Nuts (about floor #39). Use the wolf’s sense and dig for it. There is also a silver rupee in the bell in Kakariko village, you can clawshot it, or shoot it with bomb arrows, and there’s one more in a chest towards the end of the game.

- In Agithas castle, you can kick pill bugs. Turn on your lantern, and the bugs will be attracted to it. Also Agitha will get frustrated if you leave her castle without giving her a new bug. Agitha can also be found outside the southern entrance of Castle Town, looking for bugs in the grass.

- If you go back to Diababa’s lair a second time, there’s a bottomless pit of water.

- In the fishing hole, Hena has a picture of the fishing pond owner from Ocarina of Time. If you quickly look over at Hena after looking at the Legendary Fisherman from OOT, she will be scratching her back. If you talk to her when she scratches, she makes a comment about it. In OOT, the Fisherman always was scratching his back.

- You can grow pumpkins by pouring water on them, which improves the items they give. You can also pour water on certain people for a reaction. These appear to be the only use of bottled water in the game.

- On the way to the first dungeon, you can steal lantern oil and red potions from the bird. If you run off without paying, the bird will attack you next time and call you a thief. This is a reference to Link’s Awakening.

- When you open doors in a dungeon, Link opens them himself for the first time in a Zelda game. Dirt will fall off of the door the first time, but will be clean all times after that. Nice attention to detail.

- Ooccoo is the little bird that warps you out of dungeons. 00CC00 is the hexadecimal color code for the green of Links tunic in the original Zelda. It’s likely a coincidence, with Ooccoo being a play on Cocoo (the chickens).

- Fyer (the cannon guy) has a Bullet Bill on his sleeve.

- The Ordon Shield is a one of a kind item, you can buy a replacement at Malo Mart, but it’s slightly different.

- There’s a rumour that if a blue chu and a yellow chu run together, they will form a green chu. Green chu’s likely existed to refill the magic meter, a feature that was eventually dropped from the game. The magic meter can still be seen in a screenshot on the back of the box.

- When you ask the fortune teller in Hyrule Castle town for your ‘love’ fortune, her chant is actually “Wait….loading takes a while” spelled backwards.

- If you go in to Castle town as a wolf, the guards will circle you, if you charge the Midna attack and spin, they will get scared and drop items and rupees.

- In the Kakariko bomb shop there are signs that tell you not to bring in any flammable items. If you take out your lantern, the shopkeeper will tell you off. If you take the lantern out upstairs, he will bang his desk and drop water on you.

- The postman can be found at various places in the game, but he’s quite rare. He can be seen at several locations, including Kakariki village, Zora’s Domain and even the Cave of Ordeals.

- Killing all Guys in certain areas will cause yellow and blue rupees to fall from the sky and trees.

- Links hawk can be seen flying around in any areas where there’s hawk-grass.

- Fire a bomb arrow in to the sky for an instant firework!”

I love Link’s flourish, I didn’t figure it out until I reached the Temple of Time. I think it only works with enemies that fight with swords. The bird attacked me :P I didn’t realize I didn’t pay for my oil..and I talked to Epona. I didn’t know many of the other ones. I’ll look out for them, this was a fun list :)

LIZARD GLITCH If you ever get Hawk’s Eye &the bow, go find those lizard guys. Then hit ‘em on each side of the head, but don’t move your position until you have an arrow on each side EXACTLY in the same spot, then hit the lizard in center of the back of his head and then you should see an arrow head fly out
NOTE: does not work on armoured lizards and is best used at the temple of time

ever want to have just a sword? well then read this. equip a wooden shiel, get it burnt and taa-daa! no shield!
though the bad part is your defences are weak

Lizard glitch part 2. find a lizard, snipe it with the bow(you should use the Hawk’s Eye for this and be at the same level the lizard is don’t be on higher/lower ground)shoot him in the leg once when he gets up again, shoot in the same spot, then shoot him again in the same spot you might hear a cracking noise becaus the 3rd arrow pushed the other arrows out cutting his….privates off

  • Dark Link of Legends

Why did Nintendo take out the magic meter? That’s sad but… What on earth was the magic meter for? (spoiler, turn back now if you need to) Was it for the Great Spin attack or what? I think they took the Fire Arrows out, too ’cause I saw an older version trailer of Twilight Princess with Fire Arrows. Oh and just 1 thing to add to the list, the Postman is also on the Zora’s River area (A.K.A Balloon Popping Minigame). Once you start the minigame go ahead a little more and you’ll see the Postman on the right (left for Wii) side of the bridge, he’s on a ledge. Sorry if that was long. :???:

  • Dark Link of Legends

Hey everyone! I’m back! I found out a few more secrets and glitches to add to the list! Okay now for the glitches: (some are spoilers for people who have not finished the game) First warp to Zora’s Domain once there find a spot to turn into human Link. Walk on the waterfall area and once your outside of the throne room, go to your right, you’ll see some land (don’t fall off the waterfall!), go on that land and you’ll find the cave that leads to ummm above Snowpeak. Don’t go there, I was just giving an example. Ok once there you’ll see this little ledge sticking out of the boundary rock things do the Jump Attack (L+A For GC), a normal jump attack not the one that the skeleton warrior teaches you. and you’ll go on the ledge. Now put on the Iron Boots while your on the ledge, and walk all the way right before you see this yellow part on the rock. (Don’t go on it or you’ll slip off) Now Hold A while L-targeting and you’ll do the Jump Strike and go on the land that you normally can’t and you’ll see the sky under all the rocks! It’s kinda’ useless but funny to look at!

On the sword flourish: for me, it works on all enemies. I find it helps to kill, stand still and tap A rapidly and repeatedly. I wish that rhymed more. Also, I’d parked Epona in the area with Link’s house, and when I talked to her as a wolf she said something like “Even though you change shape, I can still understand you.”… and I have developed the habit of chatting with Cuccoos. Anyway I’m off to go observe Hyrule some more. This list was fun to read!

BE THE CHICKEN GLITCH: You know how there is chickens in the game wondering around right? Well, when you are the human Link, press Z (this is I think only for Wii version) and try to aim at the chicken and attack with A!! Keep doing this until the screen goes black and afterwards there is a picture of the chicken. YOU ARE THE CHICKEN!!!! You can move around as the chicken for a few moments, and then you’ll go back to Link. BUT IT IS SO AWESOME!! So far I was only able to do it with the brown and orange-ish chicken in Ordon (or I think ordon… whatever your hometown is in the game…) REMEMBER THOUGH: you CANNOT be a wolf.
Resources: I was attacking chickens for the heck of it.

Infinite arrows glitch: OK, first you need to find a lizard or enemy that shoots arrows. Have your wooden shield equipped then when the enemy shoots the arrow at you pull out your shield and the fire arrow will get stuck but don’t hold it there for to long or else your shield will burn up. Then put away your shield you gained a arrow repeat this process as many times as you like until you arrows are full so you don’t have to buy arrows any more.

Actually the flourish is pretty easy to do. As SOON as an enemy blows up press A. Of course, you have to keep the sword out. So basically, open up a can of whoop ass on an enemy and watch it DIE. Keep your sword out. As soon as it blows up (or possibly right after the explosion clears) push A to put your sword away and he does the flourish. And you can attack cuccos as a wolf and i believe you still gain control of it. And its not a glitch, cuz if you push a when controlling a chicken they jump and flap their wings. And in case you didnt know, get on epona and press and hold B. Link holds the blade out and charges it, and it looks quite badass the longer you make him hold it in place. Theres more stuff like this too you just have to be curious……
