Bethesda hints Fallout 3’s release is not as futuristic as the RPG

In a recent interview with Gamasutra about their Oblivion & Star Trek franchises, Bethesda’s vice president of PR and marketing Pete Hines, was asked about their highly anticipated resurrection of the classic Fallout post-apocalyptic role-playing PC franchise.

On Fallout 3 Mr. Hines commented: “We are a fairly good ways into the process. The team has ramped up, and it will be a little while longer. As is the case with all of our games, especially those of this scope, we don’t really want to talk about them until they are in a state where we can show you, rather than having you simply picturing it in your minds eye.”

He added that: “Fallout is not a quick two year process, and we are already several years into the project.” And here we were thinking at E3 in 2006 Fallout 3 development had just started. It looks like we might be seeing the futuristic RPG sooner than expected. At least it will arrive well before the 2010 release of that Fallout MMORPG.

Fallout rules without a doubt, but MMORPG’s souldnt be allowed to be published, there like a disease – i just quit WoW, it wasnt hard and i didnt waste more than 3 days on it but hell, my friends who play it are addicted and they cant get off it! Multiplayer should only go so far…..

Fallout mmorpg will keel wow ..trust me ( i play world of warcraft atm) but the guyz will need to be verry carefull how thy make it …

People just want another proper sequal! Not experiments or spin-offs

this is really stupid that u already compare it to wow. any good game is not like wow. i mean i played wow for a long time the the point is yur always trying to get a little bit better en a little bit higher so u can do that quest a little bit further up the road. wich is stupid. running after something while not enjoying the moment.

i fallout u can always pic your odds! u need something from a char well pic you pic sneak and steal talk or kill! tell the guy he has an old score with to setttle that he’s drunk tonight and let him kill him ! its way more rpg than wow! u can actualy decide how the game is going to go instead for following a prescipted story line to keep u busy and pay your gamecard while not thinking about the consicuenses of your daytime job!

in any case f*ck wow, it is a product purposfully made by a corparation to make money!

love fallout! more options no rules so no frustiation
