Best Seller Series: StarcraftItzik Ben Bassat, Vice President Business Development and International for Blizzard Entertainment, talked on stage at London’s World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade PC expansion pack launch yesterday night.

He revealed: “As a StarCraft player I can tell you that I hope it wouldn’t go a decade – we launched StarCraft in 1998 – I hope it wouldn’t go a decade before we stand here and celebrate the next StarCraft together.”

We haven’t forgotten that we have these two franchises, and what I can tell you is that I look forward to stand here in a few years, or whenever it’s going to be, and celebrate with you the launch of the next StarCraft or the next Diablo.”

Eurogamer reports the Blizzard PRs “looked a bit uncomfortable” around this point, so that’s a great hint for us, bring on the Zergling rushes come 2008 (we hope)!

PS: 3.5 Years later we made a StarCraft 2 walkthrough.
