Atari today announced Godzilla Unleashed, the ultimate fighting monsters game on a giant scale. The game stars the legendary Godzilla and a slew of the most renowned monsters of all-time (23 total) such as Mechagodzilla/Kiryu, Megalon, and Gigan. Developer Pipeworks says the game runs in progressive-scan 480p and has 16:9 widescreen support. Godzilla: Unleashed will tear its way onto Wii, Nintendo DS and PSP in autumn 2007.
Gamers are challenged to ultimately save the planet from mayhem and destruction. Set in urban arenas, Godzilla: Unleashed’s interactive 3D cityscapes, big destructible buildings, soaring skyscrapers and towering alien formations provide the backdrop to epic worldwide destruction.
Up to 4 players will claw, kick, stomp, throw and blast their way through the streets of major world cities in order to claim the ultimate, beastly title: King of the Monsters. In addition to a fully reinvented combat system, Godzilla: Unleashed will feature an innovative non-linear storyline which will allow players to influence how the story unfolds through their choices within battles.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 (GRAW2) demo is now available for Xbox 360 Gold Members in all Xbox Live regions. My first impression is its same old GRAW, which is excellent news for the fans. If you’re without Xbox 360 or are a Silver Member, you’ll probably get the demo later, until then take a look at the new trailer below. The First-Person Shooter game for Xbox 360, PC, and PS3 is expected to hit stores around March 8th, 2007.
Following up the 2006 platinum seller Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter (GRAW), Ubisoft brings the sequel GRAW2, with more of what fans loved about the original with 12 single player missions, 14 multiplayer maps, and a 6 mission coop campaign. You are the Soldier of the Future 2.0. All systems have been upgraded to give you more power and control on the battlefield. Following the failure of the “coup d’etat†in Mexico City Mexican rebels have gathered their remaining forces along the US border. Lead your team of elite Special Forces for the first time on US soil - straddling the border between Juarez, Mexico and El Paso, Texas. The Ghosts have less than 72 hours to stop a nuclear attack.

THQ today announced that Saints Row will be headed to the PS3 in Spring 2007. The “sandbox” action game crosses over to the PS3 from its previous Xbox 360 release. The game will be the first “sandbox” game on PS3 to support online play via the PlayStation Network. This allows gamers to battle rival gangsters in a variety of (single and) multi-player modes.
In Saints Row, players begin the game as a member of the 3rd Street Saints, battling rival gangs and corrupt officials while attempting to conquer the city of Stilwater. Gamers personalize their experience through an unparalleled level of character customization and the freedom to progress through multiple storylines in any order they choose. Unique activities such as Insurance Fraud and Snatch help a player earn respect, which in turn open up missions that stretch through a vast, fully dynamic game world. “Respect ya’ll!”
Spike TV’s innovative six-sided wrestling ring is now yours to step into with this game based on the TNA Wrestling league. That stands for Total Nonstop Action. First trailer for Midway’s PS2, PS3, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Wii game.
This playthrough of the upcoming PS2 demo shows the first level of God of War 2. So if you can’t get your hands on the demo from a PlayStation magazine, then you can watch it or hold out a little longer till release on March 13th in America and April in Europe.
I can’t help but love the female narrator who talks in a way that says “Kratos needs no love from petty Gods, he’s a badass warrior ready to go on a rampage!” The demo shows what happens when Athena strips Kratos of his powers and he goes out to take sweet revenge.

Forza Motorsport 2 is the Xbox 360 sequel to Microsoft Game Studios’ customizable driving simulator Forza Motorsport.
Developer Turn 10 announced: “Ever since we missed our holiday 2006 release date sometime last November, we’ve been gunshy about committing to another date until we were absolute sure. Forza Motorsport 2 will be on North American store shelves May 2007. Optimistic estimates have us at retail in the first half of May.”
Here’s a trailer for a Forza Motorsport Tournament on the Speed Channel that shows some in-game footage as well.

I guess we ruined the secret as Sega will be releasing the Nintendo Wii exclusive game Sonic and the Secret Rings a month sooner than expected. In America the release date is February 20th, and the game is speeding to Europe on March 3rd. Fingers crossed they’ll also go back to the much better Sonic Wild Fire name.
It’s the first solo adventure for the character since 1991’s original Sonic The Hedgehog, although his friends do show up in one of the 40 multiplayer games. The 10 levels challenge Sonic to recreate the last chapters of the classic Arabian Nights tale. A genie gives him the mission to recover the missing pages to the book, inside the book he finds a lot of rings and of course Dr. Eggman.
A new trailer shows how you speed your way through some of the most dangerous dinosaur-infested jungles around on your quest to find the Secret Rings.
God of War 2: Divine Retribution director Cory Barlog updated his blog last weekend now that the PS2 game is nearly completed for its release on March 13th in America and April in Europe.
* The God of War II game length is around 15-17 hours.
* The new weapons switching is a single button (R2) and it is fast and easy. There is no animation delay and you can switch from the Blades of Athena in mid move to The Barbarian Hammer, do a big hit, and then switch to any of the four magic’s to hit the creature some more, and if you like (and the creature is still alive) you can switch back tot he Blades of Athena to do the final kill move… all while keeping your combo going.
* The lack of original magic’s from God of War 1… we were not able to get the full “everything you had from the first game crosses over to the second†functionality we originally set out to do. There just was not enough memory for that, but we did add some cool stuff for the second play-through of the game in the form of Urns that you find that allow you to assign a power or functionality to whatever model you choose. So if you want to use Poseidon’s Rage again you can, you just have to find the Urn that gives you that power hidden somewhere in the world of God of War 2.
Take a look at this new trailer featuring enormous bosses, new weapons & great graphics for the PS2’s swan song!
