New Zelda 2 coming to Wii in 2008? Zelda Phantom Hourglass on DS delayed to October 15th 2007

Game Informer magazine issue 165 states the next Zelda Wii has already been under development for about a year and while itâ€™s highly unlikely that Nintendo would release two Zelda games a year apart, they expect the second Zelda Wii will arrive sooner rather than later. End 2008?

As for the much anticipated cel-shaded The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS (which continues from the GameCube’s Zelda: Wind Waker). At GDC 2006, it was revealed and Iwata hinted it would be out by the end of this year. However, at E3 2006 it became apparent this wouldn’t be the case, and The Hylia confirmed a delay to 2007 after speaking with Nintendo at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Game Informer is reporting that Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has not just been pushed back to “early 2007″ as previously reported, but all the way to October 15th, 2007. If so, that means the first DS Zelda adventure will be out next Holiday season. We’ve also heard rumors the game is getting a major reworking since E3 2006 – as nothing new has been shown for the title since that time.

To comment 38. How would tp be continued? they wouldnt use the same hyrule, they have never done that before.

and for the comment on the new windwaker. PHANTOM HOURGLASS is the continuation of windwaker. It will be for the DS and is supposed to be released in fall 2007.

to comment 41 i neva said continue tp in hyryle but continue tp in different lands like oracles of gaes and seasons i never metioned continuing tp in hyryle.
to comment 40 y would u wana turn zelda into more of an rpg ohnestly ima zelda veteran it wouldnt work well wif the gameplay style leave it the way it is which is gud enough

n one fing minish camp is the real begining of zelda if u luk at it tis is the game n where the legend of link comes from

I heard about this new Zelda game from a friend. She said they’re making another one & found out from probably that magazine.

2008 eh? That’s quite a while, but I respect that they can’t just make on like that, but knowing now, I’m so eager to just go out there & buy!

Any idea on how long it takes to make a game like Twilight Princess? I imagine this new game will be similar, at least, I hope so, Twilight Princess is so awsome! Finished it twice.

Starfox Adventures took 3 years I read, but developing since then has probably got quicker. I just can’t wait! (>^.^

yeah since technology has improved developing and macking games has become alot more easier so i guess zelda 2 for wii may not take that long aprently its been in development for 1 yr so hopefully its in its ending stages

Y’know, I saw something on youtube, but I’m 99% it’s fake. It was a review on the game. It was set in a very futuristic way & Link drives a motorcycle he calls Epona & uses guns! That’d be sooo wrong!

It was posted up a day before April Fools day, so I’m pretty sure it’s a sick joke! I hate them for putting it up! >.

The reason that Zelda is a legend

i do not want to say this; many of you are fools. i know much about the new zelda that you dont. the settings are hyrule, termina, and the great sea. the gods are slowly flooding the world they built. vaati has corrupted the world so badly that termina is not too far from hyrule. the time is the SAME as OoT when link is an adult. pay attention to the ending; he PUTS THE MASTER SWORD AWAY. now, without it, hyrule is different from when ganon ruled. link returns from termina with navi and tatl… but they die from an ambush of moblins. link chases them down and kills them to find sheik outside faron woods. she cannot change into zelda. its a curse vaati put on her. a curse similar to the twilight will come… the white night. link must destroy white shadows to bring back normal life. but the white night will return unless link kills the container of the region. the containers, typically, are the bosses of many of the dungeons. link goes to wars. the game is more action oriented than puzzles. there will be a mirror of the white; link can use it to go back in time (every time you save, you can go back there) and you can steal, commit crimes, and do time in prison; if the crime is bad enough, link goes to the colosseum as a gladiator or to fight insane monsters. hyrule, termina, and the great sea together are almost as big as WoWs “OverWorld”. a few new races enter; examples are the Hai, the Elves, the White, and the Maj. link will be a true pirate on the great sea, he will fight the kraken (optional), he will lead an army, he will do EVERYTHING. another addition i find amusing is Bobbies. they are the main collectible, replacing the poes. nobody likes them. the world hates them. fat women on the streets of castle town will kill them by kicking them through windows and into walls. Bobbies basically look like ugly bichons. actually, this is what the next zelda game would be if I made it. the world would be happier. Vaati is cool and you know it. Ganon will be in it; dont worry. as for a movie, if it has an animation scheme like Advent Children and is made in America, it’ll be great. future stuff, like guns…? maybe. a *just this once* kinda thing. windwaker was a damn good game. TP was. OoT was. MM… wasn’t. sry. also, sry that this comment was so long.
