New Zelda 2 coming to Wii in 2008? Zelda Phantom Hourglass on DS delayed to October 15th 2007

Game Informer magazine issue 165 states the next Zelda Wii has already been under development for about a year and while it’s highly unlikely that Nintendo would release two Zelda games a year apart, they expect the second Zelda Wii will arrive sooner rather than later. End 2008?

As for the much anticipated cel-shaded The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS (which continues from the GameCube’s Zelda: Wind Waker). At GDC 2006, it was revealed and Iwata hinted it would be out by the end of this year. However, at E3 2006 it became apparent this wouldn’t be the case, and The Hylia confirmed a delay to 2007 after speaking with Nintendo at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Game Informer is reporting that Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has not just been pushed back to “early 2007″ as previously reported, but all the way to October 15th, 2007. If so, that means the first DS Zelda adventure will be out next Holiday season. We’ve also heard rumors the game is getting a major reworking since E3 2006 – as nothing new has been shown for the title since that time.

The new zelda should have vaati and the wizard dude from link to the past ressurect Ganon and all three take over the place. Find the majoras mask and give it life again, and link must find the Fierce diety mask again. the game should have twica as many temples as TP and should be a sequel to Tp. It should show when the gods flood hryule also.

It was reported that TP would be the last Zelda game as you know it (well, the last one based on previous zelda games). The new one is being developed by Capcom and you can expect it around 08 – 09, could be longer dipending on how Capcom wants to go with. Either way, you can bet that if Capcom doesnt produce a entertaining game that all Zelda fans came to love, you can be sure that Nintendo will step back up with its Zelda tactics..

I don’t know if this sounds weird but I would really rather Nintendo make the new one… It just wouldnt feel right with someone other than Nintendo behind the wheel (if you know what I mean)

You silly boys, i am involved with the making of the second zelda and it will “of coarse” have link in it! But it will not be set in hyrule but in fargot ganons land of growing. Link must repel evil once again. you will play as young link, adult link and dark shadow link! its release date will be around December 2008!

When they make the new Zelda it needs to be totally new no fairy’s or midna, none of the same places and the bosses should be harder. And you should be able to play after you beat the boss insted of just killing him over & over.I love Zelda but hate the endings

i think the game should go in a different direction. Maybe make the game more of an rpg, with parties and stuff like that.

I think Ganon should become the King of Hyrule and Banish Link out of the Kingdom. He should then have to fight his way through this new kingdom back to Hyrule and defeat Ganon. throw some classic characters like the Sheikah tribe and have them play a part in the game and have Zelda banished too, so she turns into Sheik ands helps him. That would be a mad dope game.

How about a Hyrule set in the future? They took a risk with Wind waker, which did great, no matter what those idiots say, why not take a bigger risk? You might say: Come on! It would suck! You guys also said that with WW, but look how that turned out! It rocked! Hyrule’s future doesn’t have to be the same as our own bad future (which involves machines taking over and humans finally realizing why goths think the way they do)! And a Zelda movie? If it was animated: HECK YEAH! (you never know who might be reading this!)

You do what you have to do to make a sweet ass zelda, but make sure you keep it classic, fun, with sweet ass music(which it always has), and make sure that its hard enough so it takes me time to beat or possibly different skill level settings so when i beat it im not dying to play the nxt one, and by that time maybe the nxt game will be comin out. smoke a bowl peace

I think that Link should have to get back to the Twilit World to help Midna in some way. She is by far my favourite character, though I have only played the Wii version of Zelda. I also like being a wolf, they should keep that. I am getting a little bored with the Hyrule map, I want somewhere new to go!!!

I also am not fussed about what the next Zelda game should be. Ohh, and I must say Link’s Awakening, and Majora’s Mask would have to be my favourites in the series . I also liked Wind Waker, dunno what the fuss about the graphics were :\.

@Sandman: I really liked Return of Samus (Metroid 2), and it didn’t have Ridley… just cool creatures, and Metroids ^_^.

@DJ: Contrary to what you say, I think giving link a voice would make things less personal, as players would no longer imagine Link’s voice in their own way. I think games now days leave little to the imagination :\.
