New Zelda 2 coming to Wii in 2008? Zelda Phantom Hourglass on DS delayed to October 15th 2007

Link's latest adventure The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess on WiiGame Informer magazine issue 165 states the next Zelda Wii has already been under development for about a year and while it’s highly unlikely that Nintendo would release two Zelda games a year apart, they expect the second Zelda Wii will arrive sooner rather than later. End 2008?

As for the much anticipated cel-shaded The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass for the Nintendo DS (which continues from the GameCube’s Zelda: Wind Waker). At GDC 2006, it was revealed and Iwata hinted it would be out by the end of this year. However, at E3 2006 it became apparent this wouldn’t be the case, and The Hylia confirmed a delay to 2007 after speaking with Nintendo at San Diego Comic Con in July.

Game Informer is reporting that Zelda: Phantom Hourglass has not just been pushed back to “early 2007″ as previously reported, but all the way to October 15th, 2007. If so, that means the first DS Zelda adventure will be out next Holiday season. We’ve also heard rumors the game is getting a major reworking since E3 2006 – as nothing new has been shown for the title since that time.

I allready invented my story of what the sequel to TP would be. The main bosses would be Agahnim, and Majora (not the mask, just the evil that is in it). I cant wait to see what the new game will be like…

if you are doing a new zelda plesea do it about when midna goes back to the twilight realm and breaks the mirror of twilight

By the way, they made a zelda game where zelda was the main character, even though it wasnt a Nintendo game: ¨The Wand of Gamelon¨ and ¨Zeldas Adventure¨. Anddd… the webpage i wrote before on the other comment was wrong, sorry.

In a new Zelda game they should have voice acting at lest for the cut scenes and make Link speak when spoken to, as this would give the game a more personal feeling I think.

I have wondered if there will be a 2nd zelda game on wii since i bought twilightprincess. I am pleased to here that there is one un current development. Like most players i feel the game sshould be like majora’s mask and not be set in hyrule but for the love of god no time limit feature.

I agree with the idea of the new zelda on wii being set after TP with the same link. But i wouldnt like it too much if Ganondorf wasn’t in it as he is one my favourite characters (expecially in OOT) I think Ganondorf should be seen in the game more like in OOT. I was slightly disappointed with TP cause to me it felt like he was left out abit and you only truely come face to face with him in the end. One thing i loved about OTT was the nightmare at the beginning with Ganon and link outside hyrule Castle. I think there should be alot more bosses in the new wii zelda too. and at least make them slightly challenging lol and there should be more side quests to do like in Majoras mask.. oh and also bring back the magic power (fire/light/ice arrows for example).. a save feature at the end like in wind waker would be nice too :)

I think some of the ideas about the new wii zelda are great especially the length issues, the difficulty and the magic bar/skills but as for setting it out of Hyrule it could seem as though we are replaying MM i also think TP was a test there was alot of changes i think to see how the fans and the public would react to such changes i think the next zelda would be closer to the ‘complete’ zelda some of us hope for. Vaati isn’t a terrible enemy i thought he was quite different from ganon/ganondorf as for majora he/it was quite pathetic as fierc diety link made quick work of it. But even though i think setting it out of Hyrule is a bad idea setting it in and out would be good. whatever happens im sure Nintendo will deliver a superb game as they always do.

    This will be fun…

They SHOULDN’T come out with a Zelda movie. Especially if it is by Nintendo. Reasons?

One thing, a movie (actually three) have been in development for about two or three years but it isn’t about OoT or any of the good stuff we know. I don’t know if its still there because the metroid movie was thrown and so was the Halo movie.
Back to the new game…they should not continue TP for a while because of the fact the last god game was released on 2000, MM…and I personally want to see the Link I know and love. Ganon looked cool in TP but. . .hair rolls? Please. OoT Ganon looked better or at least the idea and he had more of a “james earl jones” voice than a high pitched one in TP. I love TP I really did but I think since the hero of time slept for seven years its time for a sequel to the MM. Which also happens to be seven years since. Agahnim was an ok bad guy but remember it was still Ganon behind him. You can’t take Ganon out of Zelda. You just can’t. That’s like taking Ridley out of Metroid or Master Chief out of Halo. It isn’t right. Think about this, Fierce Deity link DESTROYED Majora. Not just because he was strong but because he was evil. in translation it literally means Angry God Link. I want to see what happened to the mask. Does link still have it? An evil that great could not have been forgotten. There was a reason why it was so easy. When you are a good guy fighting a bad guy you always wonder why the bad guy has so many moves when you have like 4 or 5 of your own, well…fierce deity link was your point of view from a bad guy. OoT will never be replaced, nor will A link to the Past or any of the originals but contiueing a series is a duty not a choice. It hasn’t ended yet. Link isn’t dead. Ganon isn’t dead. This really has nothing to do with the subject but wouldnt yall like to see a “redone” version of OoT and Majora? Seriously I am sure as a zelda fan the thought has crossed your mind. OoT with new age graphics….good thought, no?
Anyway, Starting a new series is a risk and it will be taken. No matter what. Windwaker was a risk and flubbed horribly. It shoudn’t have been made, we all know it please dont defend a 2 foot nothing link who defeats ganon (happens to be like 8 feet tall) in hand to hand combat. TP was a variation of windwaker. in my opinion anyway. I am a zelda veteran I know what they think. They will make many more games more than likely till I am dead. You ask yourself why Zelda keeps winning game of the year AND best game of all time? Well I have faith in the creators that they know whats in our best interest. For one, they will not take out Ganon. Link will always never talk.
AND as much as I want to see it he will never get with Maron. (just felt like adding that) one last thing…if you think about it TP was alot like A link to the past.. two worlds one seemingly bad guy who is controlled by ganon? weird…
