Burnout Dominator
Electronic Arts announced Burnout Dominator, an all-new installment in the Burnout series, for PS2 and PSP with a release date set in March, 2007. Loaded with intense racing action and dozens of retina-searing World Tour events.

Burnout Dominator challenges gamers to face off against a series of hot-blooded rivals in brutal tests of aggressive driving techniques where performing burnouts gives you the advantage and multiplies your score potential. For the ultimate nerve-wracking experience, Burnout Dominator takes you to the very edge of control, punishing the smallest mistakes and rewarding drivers for taking outrageous risks.

I still play Burnout Legends on PSP, great fun“The series was born on the PlayStation 2, and Burnout Dominator is about celebrating the essence of Burnout”, said Nick Channon, senior producer of Burnout Dominator at EA UK. “Burnout Dominator focuses on the reckless skill-based racing and fear of crashing that fuelled the first games.”

Meanwhile, a separate new game in the racing series by Criterion Games, Burnout 5, is still set for release on PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in 2007. Burnout Dominator picture via Playfuls.

What is the necessity of releasing this game, Its just pointless… maybe they want to generate some revenue for developing the next gen titles…

This sounds very interesting… I’m much more a fan of the first two games than any of the other Burnout games released after EA acquired the franchise… The first two games had a lot to do with what they are talking about in this one: “Burnout Dominator focuses on the reckless skill-based racing and fear of crashing that fuelled the first games.” That’s a great summation of the first two and it’s something the other versions just don’t have… I’ll be looking forward to this game I think. Might be a Burnout game for some of the original burnout fans again.

Looking forward to it as well JacKal. I still need to unlock everything in Burnout Takedown on PS2 and Burnout Legends on PSP, so it looks like I’ve got until March.

Reetesh, PS2 has over 111 million units sold, and the PS3 so far over 300,000. It’s not about earning money to spend more money, but rather reaching millions right now instead of years in the future.

Well, I am not talking about the PS2 or PS3 sales I am saying that the Burnout developers Might be needing More money as next gen titles of full quality wont be cheap to produce.. thats the most logical thing that can happen.

Coz I dont think the game will have anything new others than new cars and Maps, it will be on the same burnout Revenge engine, with maybe some new gameplay modes, that wont take much extra effort to make and With people being crazy about burnout(including me) they will surely buy it to get their hands on some NEW content of burnout. The fact that they are not making it for XbX also justifies my point…

But.. who cares :P its a game we are gamers we buy we play,it doesnt matter what the purpose of the games creation was. Its only the “PLAYING” and ” enjoying ” part that we should care about :P
