Alan Wake 2008 release date shocks Xbox 360 and PC

Developer Remedy’s Xbox 360 & PC (Windows Vista only) exclusive game Alan Wake looked very impressive at both E3 2005 and X06, especially the Intel Developers forum demo looked great. Now, if reports from the US Official Xbox Magazine are accurate, then the psychological action thriller won’t be released in 2007 anymore.

According to the magazine, the game has been set for release in the US during 2008, although publisher Microsoft Game Studios is yet to confirm or deny the report. TVG saw the latest preview of the game back at September’s X06, where Remedy also refused to put any sort of release period on the title.

ZOMG! 2008 :O Thats WAY WAY far away! Maybe they realised that Quad Processors will be common THEN and It will be good to release it at that time:P or else No one will buy it in this or next year

Yes triple core is proberly a factor for PC users but I bet they would of released it on the 360 if it were possible now,
maybe “Gears of War” has set such a high standard(and huge sales) it making game companys relook at their game engines etc.

Seriously? They need another year? Wow! I’m use to to Bungie and their setbacks, but this is getting ridiculous. This game looks so complete that I can’t truly believe it will take another year.

yeah this games pretty good I think I would agree with the; Gears of War beeig the reason for the extention on the realease date. That game is by far the best thing I seen for the 360.

I have recently got XFX geforce 8800GS,thinking i will be able to run the new alan wake….But what is this?????2008????? But letme tell u 8800 rocks…

Thee is no 2008 release date set either.
Last thing i saw that was remotley resembeling a release date. Was when they said its not going to be a nother 5 years.
so we are guaranteed to see the game before 2013. But they dont guarantee it will be released before december 30th 2012.

By the time they release it there will be better things to play.

I have now given up on this game entierly.
Crysis took an age to arive and lasted less than a day to finish.
Personally i wont be buying this game now.
