The Sims Wii, first video of Me and the Town of Sims

What happens when you cross The Sims 2 with an anime style akin to Animal Crossing? You get The Sims for Nintendo Wii. Electronic Arts Japan has just launched the official website for Me and the Town of Sims.

This new Wii version is part of the upcoming series of The Sims games. The release date is set between March 31, 2007 and April, 2008.

Here’s the first video teaser:
While the characters look similar to Nintendo’s customizable Wii avatar, called Mii, there’s been no confirmation from EA that your own personal console/remote Wii’s will be able to jump in The Sims game. Although of course you’ll be able to create your own in-game character, Mii’s would still be a great addition, because their style is so similar.
