Grimsquad for PS3 does not exist, Guerrilla Games only working on Killzone PS3
Update: Sorry about posting this fake story, we tracked down the original source (ps3focus.nl) and since they had done an actual interview with Guerrilla Games, we wrongfully assumed they’d be correct. We’re guessing they were fooled too, because on the playstation.com forum Seb Downie (Lead Tester at Guerrilla Games) said “Erm nope, not us. Sorry. This looks like some Jin Rho thing. Nothing to do with GG.”
Developer Guerrilla Games (Killzone series) was bought out by Sony in 2005. But Killzone: Liberation for PSP and Killzone for PS3 isn’t all they were working on. They just announced Grimsquad started development at the same time as Killzone PS3 and is 40% done. Release date is Q1, 2007.
Grimsquad is a squad-based, over the shoulder action game with a focus on coverage and flank attack. This game boasts tons of polygons and over the top particle effects utilizing the processing power of the PS3. The character’s armor is divided into 15 parts which get destroyed when damaged.
In-game the player has control over a four-man squad to defend the Earth from the evil extraterrestrial race called the Helghast… oh sorry I meant to say Lomak. Up to 24 person multiplayer is supported & the main campaign can be played by network co-op mode with up to 4 players. Via Mygen
