Well, well, well. Tonight I noticed the commercial has been revised, still bad, but without the awful screaming. Looks like BMW must be reading our rants and listening to their dealers.
Hope they wise up and fire their ad agency, or was it just a college marketing class that put it together? That was just plain bad! I’ll never own a BMW because of it.
Holy crap why is everyone so pissed off by this video? i think its hilarious… damn, all it is is a couple of really excited kids on christmas day. if you dont like the “screaming kids that sound like they’re getting beaten” then you probably watch way too much TV. go jump off a cliff, or get a lobotamy, i dont care.
if i wanted to purchase a BMW i would not be thinking about kids. BMWs are supposed to be about fast, sleek, ****, style. this makes me want a minivan with extra seatbelts and some earmuffs. two words…soccer mom
Perhaps some of you are so jaded that you can’t remember a time when you opened up your presents on Xmas and screamed with delight that you actually got what you really wanted.
For those of you without children, yet, I set in motion the following curse: may you have children who sneer at what you give them for Xmas…or better yet, thank you politely and stiffle a look of absolute disappointment.
The rest of us who love the exuberance of children who feel free to express absolute joy…and aren’t so uptight they feel the need to censor themselves…
the ad was for people who remember those days, and perhaps want want to relive them again.
This is the worst holiday commercial I have ever seen. I also mute the sound and have written to BMW. I’m sure next year they will use a little class when trying to sell their cars!!!!! TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE-TERRIBLE!
Sure William, I’ll just walk to the money tree in my back yard and I’ll be right over. I’ll get my unicorn out of the stables and ride towards you on the next rainbow that shows up… so it might be a while before we get you that Xbox 360 Elite, probably ten years…
What, exactly, makes this kid a “brat”? Because he’s excited? Because he actually knows how to enjoy himself? He’s a kid, for God’s sake. There has got to be something wrong with the world if children aren’t allowed to have fun every once in a while.
I swear, you people must have the dullest lives imaginable.
Also, I find the idea of people’s kids imitating this ridiculous. Really. It’s a commercial. I was that age not too long ago, and I know I didn’t imitate absolutely everything I saw on T.V. If you’re so worried your kids will act inappropriately, DO A BETTER JOB RAISING THEM. It’s the duty of the parents to teach their children, not the television.
For the record, though, I don’t think this is a very good commercial, simply because the clip was too popular and the ad wasn’t pulled off very well.
