Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) Value PackThey might as well have called it the big PS3.0 update ;) But it’s here, a feature filled PSP firmware 3.0 update. To get it access Network Update and download the file to your PSP, or check if it’s available at Yourpsp.com. Sony put the firmware update manual online here. So good of them to finally add the option to turn off UMD Auto-Start! See it all in the videos at the bottom.

The update includes these new features:
- PlayStation Network* titles are now supported under [Game].
- [Remote Play]** for video/music/pictures has been added as a feature under [Network].
- [Online Instruction Manuals] has been added as a feature under [Network].
- Timed recording has been added as a feature under [RSS Channel].
- A visual player*** has been added as a feature under [Music].
- 3-speed fast forward and fast reverse has been added as a feature under [Music].
- [Camera] has been added as a feature under [Photo] for the upcoming EyeToy PSP camera.
- [UMD Auto-Start] ON or OFF has been added as a feature in [System Settings] under [Settings].

* = Play PlayStation Network titles (PSone games) downloaded from the PlayStation Store. A PS3 system is required to use this feature. :(
** = You can display a PS3 system screen on a PSP system and play content that is on the PS3 system. To use this feature, you must adjust the necessary settings on the PSP system and the PS3 system. :-D

WOW The Features are so Cool!

    I have one Small Doubt…

Will the Videos of the PS3s Gameplay also be shown in PSP? and will they be streamed as VIDEOS? I mean, Videos will have the same quality as PS3s Quality, right?

they had a paint program, calender, alarm clock, word pad etc .. where is it on the 3.0 we have now?

    And by the way…
I know what new features we’re going to have in the future…

    FOR PS3 LOL!!!!!!
They should make a update so that you can listen to music while playing online or offline this feature should work for every game!!!!!! Also being able to move all your music files into one folder example: all you music like your bands into one folder say ‘MY MUSIC,’ ‘MY TRACKS’ or somthing and it arranges it in alphabetical order like a,b,c say BANDS starting with a,b,c….ect similar to sorting it ‘by track’ but rather ‘by band’ instead also so that when you listen to your music while gaming it plays all your music rather then having to manually change between music files, give it a random shuffle setting to. Same for movies, and make it be able to read more movie formats like better media player. Being able to upscale and curate better resolution and compress films. EVERYONE WANTS TO LISTEN TO MUSIC WHILE PLAYING ONLINE OR OFFLINE AND BE ABLE TO MOVE ‘MUSIC,’ ‘MOVIES’ INTO ONE FOLDER OR FILE TO MAKE IT NEAT AND EASIER TO ACCESS AND PLAY!!! LOL :P
