Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game release date is June 29th 2007

Electronic Arts today announced the development of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, based on the upcoming movie, which will be released on June 29th, 2007. More than likely the game releases on the same day the fifth Harry Potter movie is coming to theaters, July 11th 2007.

The latest game in the series will be released on Wii, DS, GBA, Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, PC, Mac, and was developed at EA’s UK Studio in Chertsey.

“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the first in the franchise that we have developed for the next generation consoles,” said Harvey Elliott, Executive Producer at EA UK. “Together with current generation versions, we are creating an immersive and, above all, faithful Harry Potter experience that will both accurately reflect the world showcased in the film and also delight fans of all ages.”

“Working with EA, we look forward to offering fans the most authentic Harry Potter game to date, one which captures the compelling story of the fiction and high visual quality of the movie,” said Jason Hall, Senior Vice President of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. “After reading the book and seeing the film, fans will be able to take advantage of the complete interactive experience with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix game.”

With all these character model improvements over the last console generation, it might not matter in the end whether Emma Watson will sign to play Hermione Granger in the next two movies or not

That sucks that they wont have it for Gamecube. My son has all 4 Harry Potter games for gamecube, and now they aren’t going to bring it out for part 5. Who really wants to play Harry Potter on the Wii. Stupps

dude… te frst three were ausome and apparently this one’s gonna be huge! (hogwarts that is) and in MINUTE detail!.. I read a qna somewhere and apparently they took the bluprints for the film sets and re created them in a 3d world.. and also read the book and made areas according to the texts descrption and stuff… btw Y did you buy ur sn a gamecube??? those tings suck! try getting him the next cheapest console there still making games for atm.. eg. ps2…

why are they releasing the video game on july 13 when the movie is coming out july 11th. at least where i am in the U.S

“Me” are you stupid? True harry potter fans would really want to play it on the wii because it’s like your really casting spells and what not. Game cube it’s just ho hum.

Yeah the best version of this game is the one for the Wii.Even the graphix are good and the Wii-mote works extremely well for this game,i have it.And the reason its not coming out on Xbox is bcuz microsoft dropped the production of making Xbox’s so barely any games come out for it now.And its not coming out for the GC bcuz well no-one likes the GC anymore.But Smash Bros. Melee still kicks ass.

I think that it really sucks that the gaming industries do this to those of us who cannot afford to buy the more expensive systems. I was just able to afford a gamecube last year. I was SOOOOOO looking forward to playing this game, but now it looks like I’m going to have to save up for another two years, just to buy the Wii to play it on. Heck, by then they’ll have something else for the spoiled rich kids to play on.

ok so i get that we all cant go out and buy an xbox 360 or a wii so why cant they just make all games for all system’s? i mean it would make this alot more simple, for instens i own a gamecube and have every other harry potter game for that system so it just does not make sence to me why they cant finish the series for all systems like the way they started it!
