November 21 update: As Nick mentioned in a comment, Hudson just added two games to the Virtual Console Turbografx 16 section. Here’s the press release: “Hudson Entertainment is announcing that its TurboGrafx games are now live on Wii Virtual Console. The two launch titles are Bomberman ‘93 and Bonk’s Adventure. Other titles that were previously announced will be rolled out over the next few weeks, which include Super Star Soldier, Victory Run, and Dungeon Explorer.”

As orginally reported a week ago (thanks for the correction Rob & Bking), the Wii system will support TurboGrafx games that originally had 5 players multiplayer modes. These games include Bomberman ‘93 and Dungeon Explorer.”

you have it backwards
the bold is what is yet to come
normal font is out now

ev, thanks for that, I need to rub the sleep out of my eyes, it must be Monday ;)

They say on the Nintendo site, and in a lot of other places, that all games will be out by the end of December. So be patient, they will all be there soon ^_^

So they’ll release 2-3 games a week, every Monday, with all 30 games promised in the Launch Window out by the time they said they would. How is that article worthy?

FYI: Bonk and Bomberman ‘93 have been released on VC as of today 11/21.

What about Tecmo Bowl? I guess since it wasn’t made by Nintendo, it will not be available?

Luis, Temco have said they’ll support the Wii’s Virtual Console “aggressively.” So I would expect to see the Tecmo Bowl NES game available next year.

Any hope of golden eye or pokemon stadium to be released with online play maybe??

Ithix I sincerely doubt we’ll see goldeneye released with or without online play. Since rare owns the rights to goldeneye and rare is owned by Microsoft now it seems entirely unlikely. This would also mean we’re not likely to see Banjo Kazooie/Tooie or Perfect Dark both really awesome games from Rare. As for pokemon stadium I suppose it’s a possibility but I doubt we’ll see any new features, it seems most of the virtual console games are simply emulated games with very minor changes that are needed to support the wii.

I’m surprised Zelda Ocarina of Time wasn’t added to the list but I suppose it’ll be out at some point.

I just bought bomberman, and it DOES support five players, with a gamecube controller.

Way to report.
