Dead or Alive 4Tomonobu Itagaki of team Ninja officially announced Dead or Alive 5 today. The developer at Team Ninja (of Tecmo) said this at a press meeting in Tokyo (Japan) that celebrated the 10th birthday of the series.

Mr. Itagaki already has the first play concepts in mind, one of which is that the fifth game in the fighting series will probably no longer feature Tag Team Battles. While no platform was mentioned, the Xbox 360 will surely see its (exclusive?) release, because Mr. Itagaki has in the past often expressed his fondness of Microsoft’s console. No release date was mentioned. Via Gamefront

I hope that they give the girls better costumes. They need to realize that it’s not only hormonal teenaged boys that play the game. They should also go more in depth with the characters, and allow us to use the master (Alpha-152 or whoever) in Sparring Mode, if only for fun.

i agree with all of you who say that DOA should be on the ps3 as well as the xbox360. I think that xbox has had several games to itself while playstation games were for everyone. DOA which is now one of my favorite fighting games now (mortal kombat has finally lost it’s touch with me in first place, it’s now in third with tekken in second)(I had to clarify that for you all) and it’s only on a console i often refuse to support, I’ve been with playstation since the giant bulky one came out about a decade or so ago and even the ps one small one and to have a very stunning and a very beautiful game only for xbox consoles doesn’t seem quite fair, I have signed the petition which I encourage you all to sign it if you think it should be on both xbox and ps3 it’s not much but i believe it can change from the current situation. I also like the irrefutible fact someone mentioned about more money from the xbox and ps3 console supporters. I often thought of that as a benefit to tomonobu and the team.

I once read that he said that the xbox console was more on his level in terms of what it was that he wanted to do with DOA visually, meaning that the ps3 wasn’t capable of doing that as well which is not true. He also mentioned that the gaming industry as a whole was not ready for what he had in store for us or something arrogant like that but now he’s having complications with team ninja business and originally planned not to make another DOA due to complications with the company, i’m actually surprised that he managed to make yet another Ninja Gaiden game which now tells me that DOA is coming, question now is whether or not he’ll allow it’s release to be seen on the ps3 and have it experienced by the ps3 console supporters alike.

I want to see the DOA series on ps3……….and I don’t even have a ps3 yet!…………..I will have one…….one day……maybe after college……and after i get rid of this ps2 of about 8 years now. Yeah, I’ve had it for quite some time now.

Hey Dennis you’ll most likely get your wish! X-box is not so hot anymore! DOA Paradise is on the PSP, and I heard Metal Gear 5 is also going to on the PS3, because they claim that the 360 is under power! Hell even Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 are on the PS3! Its not exclusive for the X-box anymore!
