Dead or Alive 5 announced at the series 10-year anniversary

Tomonobu Itagaki of team Ninja officially announced Dead or Alive 5 today. The developer at Team Ninja (of Tecmo) said this at a press meeting in Tokyo (Japan) that celebrated the 10th birthday of the series.

Mr. Itagaki already has the first play concepts in mind, one of which is that the fifth game in the fighting series will probably no longer feature Tag Team Battles. While no platform was mentioned, the Xbox 360 will surely see its (exclusive?) release, because Mr. Itagaki has in the past often expressed his fondness of Microsoft’s console. Seriously, why cant he just put it on both consoles? It makes everyone happy. Games shouldn’t be exclusive for consoles.

Also, ps3’s may be more powerful , but they are costly… and they aren’t exactly flying off the shelves.

comment on sammy.It’s not all about the money to Itagaki.But for real he can care less about the money he just loves making games for fans across the nation.You read any article about Itagaki in interviews and you will see that he makes games for the more powerful platforms(including the Wii, 360, and the PS3)He loves making games,And he loves his fans.And you are damn sure doa5 is sony only know your facts read about it.You see I read about my facts cause I just don’t put down ant false comments like you are putting.And one last thing why is you begging to the leader and boss of team ninja about bringing doa4 and 5 to the ps3 Itagaki does not have time for shipping doa4 to the ps3 or 5 for that matter.Let the man do what he has to do.

P.S. DOA5 IS NOT FOR PS3.Go read about it

yeah right DOA for the PS3 in your dreams u know that tomanobu itagaki wouldn’t put it on the that console, i mean sure there was DOA 2: hardcore for the ps2 but i don’t know if that was as succesful when it released compared to the sales that DOAU made and another thing is, fans would hate him if it were released for the ps3. SO in you faces sony!

No I doubt that he will bring it to both consoles.Doa has always been a exclusive for one console.Go take a look at doa central and read what Itagaki stated in the last year interview.And xbox fans (like myself) are going to be revealed what Itagaki stated about DOA5 in this last year interview.If you like to read it,It at doa central.

all xbox fans STOP bringing up doa hardcore . that was the past this is the present and all of xbox fans are just mad because they know for the fact that ps3 is better and stronger than the xbox 360 ps3 can surely handle doa 4 and and any other doa there is.all the xbox fans are just bringing up doa hardcore because it was a bad game and it did not sell a lot and no body likeD IT. xbox fans are bringing up that game so they can remember how bad it was on sony. microsoft WE HAVE A NEW CONSAL READY HEATHY AND NEW SO GET READY FOR SOME COMPATITION SUCK IT XBOX PS3 RULES AND DOA IS COMING TO THE PS3 HA HA HA HA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are wrong doa is not fitted for ps3.When will you realize that team ninja and TI does not make that much game for sony.Itagaki is for sure to take NG2 Doa chronus and doa5 to the 360.He even said it himself because NGS was for the ps3 and Itagaki was not the director it was hayashi and for that Itagaki has stated he has time to BRING MORE GAMES TO THE 360 and really you do not know how much cash microsoft got out of DID2 and probably DID3.Itagaki does not even like the way tekken VF5 and all that looks on ps3.And he did not even play the ps3 so doa is not going to be out for the playstation3 sorry Santiago

I would just like to say that the xbox 360 and the ps3 are both good systems. I’ve played both and honestly I think that they are pretty much equal in power. Sales of the ps3 have not yet got to the level of xbox360 and the ps3 is a bit more pricy. But wait! Think about when the ps3 came out, it was awhile after the 360 so give them some time to catch up. Another thing is that I don’t think one is better than the other. (hard to believe that a die-hard xbox fan is sayin this, huh?). I completely believe that the quality of game play comes from the makers of the game itself. I think it would be great if doa5 came out for both! Then everyone would have a fun time! Yay! However, in my opinion, the only reason that doa5 has not been announced for the ps3 is because team ninja is worried about losing money by bringing it to the ps3. I know everyone on this forum would buy it in a heart beat once it comes out. But its the people who dont give a care about the series that tem ninja is concerned about. Ps fan hate the mentioning of doa hardcore but seriously, the sales werent great. Team ninja is scared bringing it to the ps3 will hurt the and cause them to lose money. I think ps fans should take action and write them and tell them you want it for the ps3. Tell them to issue a poll for ps3 users to vote who would buy it. Do something like that. Do anything you can to get them to bring it to the ps3. And who knows maybe they will bring it to the ps3 later. Im pullin for you guys, honest! Stay hopeful. Love. Peace.

DOA5 is to be realeasd as a ps3 game as microsoft traded tecmo to Sony for Square-Enix. I follow this stuff. Go to the playstation 3 official site. Sony has the rites to DOA and as you can already see Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Sony May Have Lost Final Fantasy after the 13-14 part but now possess Techmo. So for all we know DOA 5 may just be a ps3 exclusive. There is a good chance being Ninja Gaiden Sigma was.
