Dead or Alive 5 announced at the series 10-year anniversary

Tomonobu Itagaki of team Ninja officially announced Dead or Alive 5 today. The developer at Team Ninja (of Tecmo) said this at a press meeting in Tokyo (Japan) that celebrated the 10th birthday of the series.

Mr. Itagaki already has the first play concepts in mind, one of which is that the fifth game in the fighting series will probably no longer feature Tag Team Battles. While no platform was mentioned, the Xbox 360 will surely see its (exclusive?) release, because Mr. Itagaki has in the past often expressed his fondness of Microsoft’s console. No release date was mentioned. Via Gamefront

Yep I agree I’d love to see Nikki as a selectable character in DoA5!!

And DoA is the reason I got an Xbox/Xbox 360.

So if it turns up on ps3 i’m gonna be well pissed!!

Xbox 360 should get it exclusive, its the better console by far!!!

DOA5 is not going to be on the ps3 I been trying to find more about the game and all I’m finding is about ps3 fans telling doa5 is ps3 only.I dont think so.

everybody seems to be talking about “he would make alot more money if he released it on the ps3 or xbox 360″ but wouldn’t they make most money if he released it on both, and i think if he would to choose it would be the 360 because the doa fans expect it to be released on xbox so most people who wants to play doa has a xbox, that’s why he probably will choose the xbox

I like the DOA games and played DOA 2 on the PS2. I own a PS3 and my boyfriend owns a Xbox 360 and I have to say that when it comes to graphics both consoles appear to be of the same quality. I think DOA 5 would make a bigger profit if it were released on both consoles. (n_n)

Seriously, why cant he just put it on both consoles? It makes everyone happy. Games shouldn’t be exclusive for consoles.

Also, ps3′s may be more powerful , but they are costly… and they aren’t exactly flying off the shelves.
