Dead or Alive 5 announced at the series 10-year anniversary

Tomonobu Itagaki of team Ninja officially announced Dead or Alive 5 today. The developer at Team Ninja (of Tecmo) said this at a press meeting in Tokyo (Japan) that celebrated the 10th birthday of the series.

Mr. Itagaki already has the first play concepts in mind, one of which is that the fifth game in the fighting series will probably no longer feature Tag Team Battles. While no platform was mentioned, the Xbox 360 will surely see its (exclusive?) release, because Mr. Itagaki has in the past often expressed his fondness of Microsoft’s console. If itagaki makes doa for the ps3 he will get a hell of a lot of money a lot of people are saving up to buy a ps3 like me if itagaki makes doa for the ps3 i will be happy as hell all of my family loves doa if it comes to the ps3 i will pick my dam cell up and tell the holl wide world that dsoa is for the ps3. I think 360 has had enouph with doa DOA SHOULD BE ON PS3 BRING DOA BACK .

No, I think Doa has really found the best home it could ask for. While Mircosoft builds systems that are made for gaming at the highest level while sony… doesn’t. I mean come on! First , compare the xbox and the ps2. Which had the better sound card? xbox. Which has the better graphics card? xbox. Hell, even the Game Cube had a better graphics card! Bet ya didn’t know that! Look the point is that sony doesn’t take near enough time to make a system that’s actually up to snuff with microsoft. However, I do agree that Final Fantasy is one of the greatest RPGs, or games for that matter, of all time. And that started with Nintendo! Just because a game starts with a system doesn’t mean it has to end with it. Ninji Gaiden didn’t start with microsoft, it started with Nintendo as well. The point is that doa is on the right system. Do I think it should be shared? Quite honestly, no I don’t. I agree with Mr. Itagki; it should come out on the most powerful system, otherwise it wouldn’t do the game justice. The ps3, although much better than the ps2, still does not have the capabilities to compete with xbox360 when it comes to power. But ps3 owners, fear not! I’m sure that sony will come out with many more games that will make up for the loss of doa. Sony is good at making games, just not as good at making systems. Anyway thats all for me. Can’t wait for doa 5 to come out. It’s gonna be a blast. Halo 3 this fall! Boo ya! I’m out.

Please go back and read your statement. regardless of your own personal taste the graphical capabilities of the PS3 far outweight those of the 360. that is an undenyable fact. it just cannot be argued against. Sony make great games, that much is true. but they also make great game systems. just check the sales figures to validate that! is DOA 5 comes to 360 and not PS3 so what. but don’t go around bad mouthing a systems graphical power when you know jack-shit. for an easy-to-understand look at the PS3’s power just check out some of the video’s on gametrailers.com - its simple for the layman. oh, and a company cannot claim to had the “worlds most powerful games console” if it isn’t true. it’s against the law. do microsoft make that claim…err, no. do sony? what’s that, the faint distant scream of YES!!!!!!!!!

stop being greedy? microsoft really doesn’t need to bring doa to ps3. Why save all your money just to get a game that will not probably make it to that such console sorry ps3 fans but tecmo is a xbox producer like tekken is a sony production and what you mean stop hogging doa. Sony had doa hardcore and doa2 and the xbox was not out that year and if it was i bet it would be on the xbox. that was the last time you seen the doa series on the playstation’s

yeah doa5 is confirmed unlocked only for 360.like jtd said why save all your money waiting and wishing and begging.doa5 will probably won’t be out in the next 1 to 2 to 3 years and you gonna save your money that long. why don’t you just buy a 360 and play doa4 to keep you happy till the next installment

true on that about doa5 comin to the X.DO YOU NOW HOW MUCH MONEY MICROSOFT POUR INTO DOA4 TOURNEYS ALL OVER THE WORLD.Don’t see it happening for ps3. The ps3 might get doa3 so be happy with that.If you want doa5 get the x360.yes for real why would namco and team ninja put the same game on the same console doa3 sold over 1.2 mill copies on the xbox.Doa4 sold alot could sold more if more people knew about it like we now know about doa5 if people were leaving more boards like we are for doa5 doa4 would sell WAY more.out! later.

ok guys i think you are all way to stressed, i think that right now people need to examine what the games is about here. i play for the character storys i have followed them since doa1 and have my fav characters. but arguing on wether its comming to ps3 or xbox 360 is pointless . none the less it will be a great game no matter were he puts the thing. i know he will do his best to bring you all the best gaming experience he can.

on another note: i hope helena gets her much needed rest ( probably not if christie has anything to do with it) i think a new twist would be to take kasumi to a final point in her storyline either take her home or take her out ( i know its harsh) but that would spawn many side trips Itagaki could take.
there is many things about current characters he hasn’t taken. so i think introducing to many more characters will only clutter the game up. maybe 2 more and thats it.
and i would definatly love to see ayane get more story time.

I hope itagaki put more nice characters in the new doa franchise.I wish he put like 10 characters instead of 3 that would go so far and better
