Call of Duty 3 online superior on Xbox 360 compared to PS3

Gamespot‘s review of Call Of Duty 3 for the PS3 mentions a couple of noticeable differences between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. The first difference: the PS3 has a choppy frame rate that makes the game a chore occasionally. But despite their name, Xbox360fanboy assumes that’s because of developer Treyarch being unfamiliar with the PS3.

So what is the big deal breaker between the two versions? The differences in online play are seemingly more fundamental. The PS3 version offers 24 players online, just like the Xbox 360 version. Unfortunately, only one person per PS3 can go online versus the Xbox 360 version’s four. Also, there is no ranked play available on the PS3, a feature that is standard on Xbox 360 thanks to TrueSkill.

Maybe we’ve all been spoiled by Xbox Live, but good gameplay should rule, so see this as a warning to not blindly pick one version of a multiplatform game over the other if you own multiple consoles. After all, as a gamer, the best demand you can make to a developer (aside from sending them an angry email) is to vote with your wallet, so they know to improve their next game or not bother at all. It’s why despite missing an online mode entirely, it’s no surprise to see people get excited about the new Wii COD3 gameplay.

Uhh in case you didnt notice, the ps3 frustrated the h*ll out of every programmer in the business. They have absolutely no clue how to make many games for it… so pretty much it is an expensive paper weight. It appears they spent so much money trying to make it so technollogically superior that no one understands how to make games for it at that high of a level. It’s hard to make good games if you have no clue how to use it!

LoL the ps3 having problem getting games??? , Do you wounder why the 360 is having problems getting GTA 5 on to ur little DVD its known as memory thats why u need ur little updates so you can get full game, so that also means ur gonna loose quite alot of ur memory, this is also why you cannot get such games as Metal gear solid 4 coz the game simply is to big with to high graphics textures to have on ur little dvd, but back to the matter at hand i own ps3 and played on 360 for cod3 , and i have to admit the 360 owns the ps3 in tht catergory alown…

Nasty nate you are an idiot I am a computer tech and specs on paper dont mean shit. On an actualy performace test xbox 360 beat PS3 by 8x the pixel processing and all around speed. PS3 has long load times. I am not saying PS3 sucks but I am not happy at al with the fact they left out rumble. I was really excited til it came out and you need to realize even though your a fanboy that dont mean nothing it’s a true gamer i wuold rather be and hands down the xbox 360 wins

I have a PS3 with about 10 games most games are crap COD3 is ok. True that its free online is good. But its true you pay for what you get ie shooting someone and 5-10 seconds later they die …CRAP. I think alot of people who spruke now are a little early to dismiss or to back up the PS3. True sony has “borrowed” a few ideas from other systems … its called evolution if something works and its good for the end user why do you care? unless bill gates is hanging out your ass. COD4 looks exciting and i dont care what the nerds tell me its all about the actual experience

i have xbox360 and ps3 but the ps3 has better graphics to be honest and has more features. But then again xbox has the famous halo games

yo number 29 guy if you noticed they never show the ps3 graphics on HD or blu-ray if they did youâ€™ll actully see the difference because checked myself on my own t.vâ€™s and no affence but the ps3 did have better graphics

why are we fighting over freakin computers thats making us all geeks and so what if one is better than the other there both good. So if people like sony thatsd what they think and then so what if people like microsoft more so what we like what we like

I’ve had both these systems on the same TV and I must say I prefer the PS3. So much in fact that I recently sold my XBOX 360 on eBay. The fact of the matter is the PS3 looks better, has better controllers, has a better interface for music, internet etc and also has a 60GB HD and Wireless connection included.

The only downfall is the online play, which i dont do a lot of anyway. There are no stats, recently played games, feedback for players you’ve played etc like there is on the XBOX 360. But im sure this will change in time.

Basically if you are looking for the best online experience for the next 6 months, then go for the XBOX. If you want something that will be future proof and will be the best console ever made, within 6-9 months, go for the PS3.

P.S – I also watch Blu-Ray movies, and the PS3 is the cheapest Blu-Ray player out there.

dudes ps3 has much betere controlls then the x box and much betere graphics but game wise the 360 owns but its been out longer same for the online 360 had more time to get more things but watch ps3 will get betere and how the hell can u chatt online on the ps3

the kid above me is right exept he fergot that the xbox 360 doesnt astop making games espeacilly since halo 3 and gears of war 2 will come out and ps3 will of course make good games but xbox will keep making legend games they wont stop coming we will always be supieror in games cuase xbox doesnt stop making games im not diising the ps3 but they both have thier difrences but i still think its stupid for motion sensitivity for the ps3 i mean comeon most games dont even use it its stupid they got ride of vibration for freakin reoson sony stupid sure the ps3 might lokk al glossy but who the f*ck cares its just gaming its not like were gonna die over who looks the best for me the xbox 360 is better market place the ability to download extras for our games which ps3 doesnt have ability to rip music and come on the program for the ps3 is identical to the psp they could of least made something new i also think that ps3 and xbox 360 gamers should play together u can also play split screen on oline on the xbox and no thier no speacial games for that they only thing i like from the ps3 is its wifi abilty so i can avoid cables but i dont need so screw it and i highly doubt that ps3 can make any better graphics then o say gears of war i mean come on whats the next thing it looks actually real some ppl jus ask for too much and yes im bored for riting this long but at least i hang out with girls and dont play my xbox/ps3 all day no ofense but u guys have to get out more
