PS3 lines already forming in America

Nine days until Sony’s PlayStation 3 launches in America, and lines are already forming. A CAG forumer went to Best Buy this morning and saw about 7 people waiting outside. He went inside and one of the workers told him that they had been there since Monday. He immediately pondered: “Do these people have no lives?”

Of course the life of the waiting-in-line-for-almost-two-weeks PS3 fans isn’t made easier by a bunch of people coming to Best Buy and making funny remarks like: “I hope you guys brought enough food!” Another one said, “Where is the line for PS4? Is it on the other side?”

I wonder what life would be like if you had almost two weeks to just wait and do nothing. Do they take a holiday for this, or are they unemployed, at least the latter would make some sense, they could sell their PS3 on eBay. But these seem like PS3 fanboys, and die-hard ones at that. Hopefully for them they won’t be disappointed on November 17.

Hater alert! Hater alert!

This is pathetic, how in the world can anyone who calls them-self a gamer actually WANT a PS3. Blu-Ray is terrible, the DRM inflicted is terrible, and Sony is just a terrible company.
The PS2 was alright, they had some nice games with it, but just because it was good, doesn’t mean the next generation that Sony shits out is going to be good too.

Honestly, anyone getting this system has probably got some mental issues. Perhaps you should go to some anti-fanboyism classes. You know, learn to not be a complete consumer whore?

Dude, this system isn’t even bleeding-edge anymore. Consoles are obsolete the moment they are released.
Nvidia just released hardware for PC’s that dwarfs this “gaming systems” power.

For every M$ fanboy baging the Sony fanboys for waiting in a line. I remember how uber-retarded you all were on launch of the 360 so everyone should really get off it.

As for the guy who said the software company that starts with an E, google around and look at resources such as multiple game devs who say the coding is different for each platform but that essentially both boxes are performance-wise extremely similar.

You want to know the difference? Sony incorporate Blu-Ray and Microsoft said here’s an external HD-DVD drive to add clutter.

Better GPU or not both consoles are going to have great pictures on a HD tv no matter which you go with. It’s not like Sony is using a GPU from 5 years ago.

Don’t get me wrong i will own 1 system or the other (personally most likely a 360 simply for the fact most friends are on a 360 and few are looking at PS3s) but there’s really no room to bag on each other about what console is better until it launches.

I honestly think that the PS3 won’t be the highest in the market this time around.
It’ll either be the 360 or the Wii
(personally I’d like to see the Wii own this market)
