PS3 lines already forming in America

Nine days until Sony’s PlayStation 3 launches in America, and lines are already forming. A CAG forumer went to Best Buy this morning and saw about 7 people waiting outside. He went inside and one of the workers told him that they had been there since Monday. He immediately pondered: “Do these people have no lives?”

Of course the life of the waiting-in-line-for-almost-two-weeks PS3 fans isn’t made easier by a bunch of people coming to Best Buy and making funny remarks like: “I hope you guys brought enough food!” Another one said, “Where is the line for PS4? Is it on the other side?”

I wonder what life would be like if you had almost two weeks to just wait and do nothing. Do they take a holiday for this, or are they unemployed, at least the latter would make some sense, they could sell their PS3 on eBay. But these seem like PS3 fanboys, and die-hard ones at that. Hopefully for them they won’t be disappointed on November 17.

I think 9 days is a little too much. Actually anything more than 1 is excessive in my eyes. But there are always those who are hardcore gamers, or just need the $.
I’m sorry, but I didn’t like the PS3 commercials. Kind of…Idk, weird.

I’d hate to be the cashier who checks them out after that 2 week long wait. Their personal hygiene will be comprised. I hope they brought a toothbrush at least.

In response to prOnbot’s post No.2, Yes I have a working 1st Gen PS2 bought on release day. It has never had a software update either, just been a faithful PS2 delivering gaming goodness as required.

Lets see, wait in line for a week+, or just get a preorder as soon as they come out by using preorder monitoring software (the one I’m using -http://www.7thg.com/products_preordermagic.htm)

I own an xbox 360, I just played a Sony PS3 for the first time today, and F**ING WOW!!!!. My God, I thought the graphics would be a little better, but it eats my xbox 360, lunch. I don’t have a pre-order by I’m going to stand outside and offer to buy people’s spot in line or systems as they walk out. The graphics are amazing, no polygons rendering as the scenery gets closer.
